It was so sickly sweet I felt like I had just ingested a dozen Top Pot doughnuts. The tummy-ache followed quickly. I hope that debate goes to the back end of the You Tube library.

Oh Bradley Whitford, whomever you tell me to vote for I will!

I think Slog should consider running YouTube videos behind a jump, at least when posted one after another. It causes the site to crawl, even in my pretty decent cable connection. Perhaps limit yourself to one video on the front page per post?

The best ticket is Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton.
Either one not getting the top prize would and should take VP, too. It's a better platform than staying in the Senate, you keep a Senate gig if the ticket loses, and it's being a good sport, instead of a sore loser.

It's going to be a close race. No better way to get unity up against the GOP.

Obama has got to get a new line other than 'I never voted for Iraq!" Instead of talking about what he'll do to fix it or be realistic about leaving, he just repeats over and over that he didn't vote for it. I was one of those (few?) who did not support the war, but I just find it counterproductive to belabor the point that he didn't vote for it. I wish he did have more substance on this issue. Instill a little confidence, Obama!

I hate how the comments are moderated by Hillary on youtube.

Yes, God knows Hillary has all the time in the world to moderate YouTube comments.

I agree with Nick @3 - all these YouTube vids really slow down the load and suck bandwidth we may not have.

General rule of thumb: if you have a pic and a vid, put the vid after the jump - if you have more than one vid, put them all after the jump - only exception are Stranger Event vids - you can post those before the jump.

I liked that the debate was cordial, and I'm all on board for the dream ticket. I like both of these candidates, and I'd take 16 years of Democratic administrations in either combination. Obama is SO much better than Bayh or Warner or Vilsack or whatever right-leaning conservative white guy she's otherwise considering. The other way's harder to imagine, but I really think Clinton would draw more votes as VP than Edwards, who I like better, or Wesley Clark, or any of the number of old boring white guys that Obama's more likely to choose.

Did anyone pick out what they were saying to each other right after the end of the debate? I'm bad at reading lips, but I want to know.

This version of the Nutcracker is so much better than the original. Wait for the sequel, Nutcracker 2, where president Hillary catches Osama and cracks his nuts.
