The reality is, in the US, we test things AFTER we consume them, and we don't test the ingredients that are based on genetically modified organisms which we modified from their original organic components.

So, we really have no idea what we're eating here.

Our bodies have multiple redundant biochemical pathways that kick in when things go wrong - or are different - and can then cause unpredictable (at this time, hopefully less so later) results.
