Homo Civil Unions Law Takes Effect in Oregon

onA judge in Oregon dismissed a lawsuit brought to block Oregon’s new civil unions law—effective 4:20 PM this afternoon, a move that should doubly please Oregon’s stoner homos.
The Portland Mercury’s Amy J. Ruiz—formerly the Stranger’s Amy Jenniges—was at the Federal Courthouse all day, and will be posting details and updates at the Portland Mercury’s blog.

Good deal. It's separate and unequal to marriage, but it does good for couples in Oregon.
