Caucus Schmaucus! Look What I Found at 7-11!

Not nearly as scary as Snickers Charged because it doesn’t come with any caffeine! But they’re not great. I wanted them to be, but they were a little weird. The Brownie Batter flavor tasted the most like its intended flavor. S’mores had a weird honey taste to it (because of the graham cracker?), and the Chocolate Caramel had no caramel flavor at all.

Individually, they’re lackluster. Boring, even.

So here’s my advice, should you try them (and you should): MIX them—put together a Vanilla, Chocolate Pudding, and S’mores. Try a handful of Brownie Batter with some of the caramel-less Chocolate Caramel. Take a few Vanillas and squish ‘em together with a couple Brownie Batters and holy shit. That’s when things get good.

(Side note to Skittles people: Why no peanut butter? Peanut butter and chocolate, dudes. Duh.)

I just want a whole bag of just vanilla. Why am I being ignored?

Where are my mint M&Ms?

Chocolate Skittles seem wrong somehow. It's like the Peanut Butter "Moo'd" at Jamba Juice. Who the hell drinks those? Fruit-flavored candy should be fruit-flavored. "Brown"-flavored candy (meaning those flavored with the various synthetic facsimiles of South American and Indian beans and spices) should remain that way. Shishkaberries are an abomination.

Don't forget to stir in some semen for that dxtra je ne sais qua. I'm sure Stevie would be happy to make a donation.

This has me questioning my childhood. Couldn't well enough be let alone? I am reminded of the trauma off having red M&Ms taken away, only to see a later generation be granted them and the god like blue M&Ms.

Zander, don't talk to me about M&Ms. They killed the red, but kept the BEIGE? Help me, Jesus. No one should be forced to eat a beige M&M.

Wouldn't be surprised if the lack of peanut butter is to avoid Hershey (Reese's peanut butter bits) attempting to sue the fuck out of them.

More likely, the threat of peanut allergies drove that decision.

Damnit, it's times like these when I wished that I lived in the States. You guys have such a better variety of candies/cereals/pop tarts/etc. Brownie batter skittles? Doesn't get much better than that (I would think. I guess I'll never know).

I'm with @3. That doesn't sound good at all.

Quite frankly, I don't know why anyone would want to eat these kinds of "foods" anymore. I wised up a few years ago and actually started reading ingredient lists. Now whole sections of grocery stores turn me off, including candy made by Mars, Inc. Depending on how far from urban centers you are, it can be hard to find natural foods that don't contain a ton of artificial colors and flavors and preservatives and other weird shit. But for your health, I'd avoid this kind of stuff like the plague.

@10: Laura, my dear, where do you live? If, perchance, you live in the UK then I fear you are a victim of "the grass is always greener" syndrome.

UK candies are WONDERFUL. Cadbury Fruit & Nut is the god-head, but other worthies are Barratt's Catherine Wheels, Bassett's All-Sorts, Cadbury Creamy White Buttons, Cadbury Flake Dark, Creative Candies Chocolate Kittens (woot!!!), Maltesers, Lion Bars, anything by Green & Black, Maynard's Wine Gums, Mccowans Wham Cola Chews, Rowntrees Polo's and Rowntree's Yorkie Bar.

OMG -- I'm calling Virgin Atlantic right now...

In other news, the new peanut butter Twix with chocolate cookies is fan-fucking-tastic. It's like a peanut butter cream oreo covered with chocolate.

@13, but alas, I live in Canada. I do agree with you that the UK has some yummy yummy candies, as does Canada. However, the US seems to come out with these amazingly random candy (and pop-tarts) and I don't seem to find here. Sometimes, they make it up here a few years later (i.e. nerds on a rope), but I'm always overwhelmed when I go to Bellingham's Safeway. I seriously will spend like $50 in candy that we don't get here. Some good...some NOT.

I love Kinder Eggs too - bought some last Easter when I was up in Vancouver.

Yum!

Mind you, I did get something for VD Day at Dilettante's this year ... but not yet Easter ...
