It's 10 minutes long, morbidly depressing, and totally worth watching.... Scheider blew me away because up until that night, I thought he was an action/adventure actor. The guy I took to the movie was an Academy member so we got in free. I think he voted for him for Best Actor. Hoffman won that year for Kramer vs. Kramer. Anyway, the editing, art direction, music and costumes won. We were pleased.
