Yay! More Gay Juries!

Jury duty is hit and miss. The first time I was on JD, back in SF in the mid 90's, there was this homeless guy who was supposedly "trespassing" and that's why he was beat up, yeah right, and I got him a hung jury, 11 to one baby!

The second time it was a frat boy who beat up a bartender in the UD, and I couldn't get that fucker convicted no matter how hard I tried. It still sticks with me.

What's even better is that Mariah Carey did the unveiling.

You know, I barely send anything snail-mail anymore, but I'm going to find a reason to now. Maybe I'll drop a lint to my conservative relatives back in Ohio...

Last time I got called for jury duty, they disqualified any of us who personally knew transgender people and didn't think they were evil - because the case involved someone who'd stabbed a man wearing women's clothing. Apparently, the defense attorneys do not know the difference between transgender or transvestite.

Oh, and it was 2004, and they also disqualified any of us who had political bumper stickers on our cars. Um. Wow.

"Do you live under a rock and have no opinion about anything? Why then, we want YOU for our jury panel!"

I've been summoned for Duty in July. I really hope we've got a cool July this year.

That stamp isn't going to spread any kind of fabulousity. It's hideous.

Um, I don't think Pride means what you think it means. Just like Gay didn't use to mean what it means now.

Be thankful you never served on a jury ...

Hm. Pretty? But not all that inventive -- looks mighty like the Kwanzaa stamps I bought this year.

Hey! In other circles the rainbow represents diversity of all kinds - races, gender, ages and cultures.
And pride...well, do you mean to say that homosexuals have a monopoly on pride?
Please gives us (everyone else that isn't a homo) our rainbows and our pride back.
Thanks.

#2 - Funny you had jury duty here in SF. I don't know what it is about this place, (high per-capita crime rate? "No way in hell you're getting out of this" judges?) but it's like a part-time job for most of this city's citizens. I'm summoned at least once a year.

If that stamp had employed drop shadow on top of it's other visual crimes, my head would have probably exploded.
