i'm sure bagdhad jim is quaking in his boots. wake up; he's our congressman for life.
jim, if you're reading this, please do support obama. don't negate the will of the folks in your district, or yes we will remember
Joe's right.
OMFG. It's OK to change your mind once in a while, you know. Jesus fuck people.
Does not compute.
I would think getting someone to run against Baird is more important -- he supports the war and the surge , like McCain -- his support for Obama shouldn't absolve him.
@4 - you mean like the two Clinton superdelegates who changed to Obama today, NaFun?
(waits as pin drops)
yes what a joke - "I support the troops" Burner and Baird "the surge is working" should be supported but JM shouldn't be unless he commits to the big O now - the O stands for OBEY.
@2, @3 - Yeah, or you'll only get 70% of the vote in the next election.
Offtopic:
Chuck Todd of MSNBC on realclearpolitics: "In fact, even now, I'd argue that he's [Obama's] got no better than a 55 percent chance at winning the White House."
1. To all Obama supporters: do you agree?
How do you rate his chances?
40%?
45%?
50%?
55%?
60%?
65%?
70%?
3:1 ??
4:1?
10:1 in favor?
Do tell.
2. how do you suggest we improve Obama's chances against McCain?
@9, how do you suggest we improve Obama's chances against McCain?
Several approaches:
a) Don't let the right wing media pretend like they're iffy on McCain. They are only doing this to make independents/moderates think, "Oh, well maybe if Ann Coulter hates him he isn't such a right wing douchebag." No. HE IS. Show the moderate public that he is exactly the kind of person the wingnuts are willing to vote for.
b) If he keeps up with his temper tantrums and his faux rightous "I won't dignify that question with a response" attitude, he might just self destruct without our help.
c) The most likely and effective approach hinges on the fact that the two most important issues to the public right now are probably the war and the economy. So, repeat these two quotes until they become synonymous with McCain.

Q: President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years — (cut off by McCain)McCAIN: Make it a hundred.
Q: Is that … (cut off)
McCAIN: We’ve been in South Korea … we’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me. As long as Americans …
Q: [tries to say something]
McCAIN: As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed.
(That's a flip flop, by the way)
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2007/12/mccain_its_abou.html
"The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should," McCain said. "I've got Greenspan's book."
And note that McCain's economic policies are all similar to Bush's, and the public knows how that is turning out. Also, war spending is related to the recession. How much does McCain plan to borrow to finance Iraq the next 100/1,000/1,000,000 years? What is he going to do when people stop lending us money?
d) Or, I might be way off on part a. McCain's support among Republicans/conservatives might be limp enough on it's own.
Wait, did Larsen endorse yet?
Whoops, typo, I thought he did.
@6
Will, wtf are you talking about? My comment was about the dude deciding to run again Rep. Lewis because he 'flip-flopped' (can we stop using that retarded term now, please?) on his endorsement. Is changing one's mind such an awful thing to do anymore?
