Slog - Comments on And Now A Few Words Not About Obama

Hillary fans including Maria Cantwell, Jay Inslee, and Ron Sims will be talking about Clinton's energy plan at the Machinists Hall in South Seattle this afternoon from 3:15 to 4 pm. Duh, this event was on Saturday--but the campaign just sent out the notice today... which I guess doesn't bode well for Hils' organizing team in Washington State. But this still holds true: For a good reminder of why any Democrat (even one who voted for a huge oil and gas giveaway in 2005) will be better on energy issues than Bush, go here....

Erica,

I want to make a suggestion in good faith, because I am an Obama supporter. Elections are usually won by a candidate that gives off a positive, future looking message, "new frontier", "compassionate conservatism", "bridge to twenty-first century".

So, part of Hillary's problem is that she give off an embittered vibe, "hillary haters", "republican attack machine", "false hope". And honestly, your posting exemplifies this.

In my humble opinion you could do your candidate a favor by being less bitter towards Obama and instead articulating Hillary's vision so we can all learn to appreciate it like you do.

No, we know Obama will get bashed by the Republicans. However, he does very well with independents unlike Hillary. We know she has a 48% Unfavorable rating--even higher in some Red States and Swing States. Obama is betting on the unknown factor because we know Hillary has such a tiny, narrow margin to play with. There are very few voters out there with "no opinion" on Hillary Clinton.

The truth is if Obama could hold his own on debates he would do at least one more debate with Hillary alone. I believe he is worried of the great debater that she is and she always wins over undecideds and even independents. The truth is when it is a McCain vs Hillary. Hillary will come across fantastic and they will overwhlemingly support her. Speaking truth to power. Obama isn't telling moveon.org that they can't raise money for him as a special interest. Special interests are only bad when Hillary clinton gets funds from them but not when it is golden child Obama. Give me a break, ten registered lobbyists bundling money from you and you don't take money from lobbyists? WAKE UP AMERICA SCRATCH THE SURFACE Obama is a well oiled rhetorician banking on Washington to support him on blanket messages and false negative attacks on his opponent. I am glad Hillary pumped her own money into her campaign it shows her commitment to this country. I no plenty of imdependents who won't support lightweight Obama vs MCCain. He is not tough enough on honeland security and if he really wanted to prove he is tough enough to take on the Republican's he should accept Hillary's offer to do another debate or two. Obama what are you scared of????????
