This world is so cruel. Jump! Oh, you're just doing this for attention. Mmkay.

I can see her from my office window. this happens in this neighborhood about once a year. One question- WHY DON'T THEY PUT SOMETHING UNDER HER? A NET? A MATTRESS? ANYTING? Last year they just let this lady sit there for an hour until she jumped and splattered all over the sidewalk - died later that day. I actually wrote a complaint to the fire department.

Still up there after two hours. She just had a smoke, so hopefully she's feeling better.

It's actually the Josephinium, a low-income apartment building, which is next to the Moore.

Around 9:40am they gave her a few cigarettes that she quickly smoked. Soon gave her a water bottle.

A few minutes after that two school buses came around the corner. The kids couldn't see the ledge woman, but they did see the gawkers on the corner and they all started excitedly waving to the corner people. It was a bit surreal, seeing that waving like crazy with the ledge woman in the background.

That's when I left.

So when will the crowd starting chanting "Jump! Jump! Jump!" like they did for the I-5 and SR-99 jumpers?

I agree with the comments about putting a trampoline/mattress under, having one unit deal with it, and going on about our business - no different then someone cutting their wrists in their bathtub really ...

Also, she was (is?) on the 3rd floor of the Josephinium, which is the same as the 4th floor of the Moore.

She's still there. I watched a few minutes ago as she went up to the window and it looked like she was going to go in.

But after a few minutes she went back to her spot a few feet down the ledge, wrapped her blanket around her, and stood facing away from the window.

Also, she's on the sunny side of the building and her jammies are flapping in the wind.

when i drove past in my prius, a latte in one hand & my birkenstocks hovering over the brake pedal, i thought - no bloody stain on the sidewalk - i bet someone's still threatening to jump. thanks goodness my trust fund keeps me out of transitional housing.

and no "crowd" yelled at the i-5 jumper - it was A FEW other drivers who were fucking PISSED that her selfish histrionics were causing a MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM. and yes, they were insensitive.

Show's over. I can't see the ground from here, so I can't tell you how it ended.

These are the kind of retarded people we have living in Seattle. How old are you elenchos, 12?

Or just 12 years old on the inside?
