Slog - Comments on 2nd Ave Shut Down http://slog.thestranger.com/2008/02/2nd_ave_shut_down On my walk to work today I passed a women standing on the edge of the Moore Theater building threatening to jump. She has been up there for about an hour and I believe she still is. Thanks to Slogtipper Brady for sending this in. Update: SPD says they received a call about the woman at 8:17 this morning. 2nd Ave is closed between Stewart to Virginia while officers and case workers at the scene try to contact the woman. UPDATE: She's down. All is well.... A few minutes after that two school buses came around the corner. The kids couldn't see the ledge woman, but they did see the gawkers on the corner and they all started excitedly waving to the corner people. It was a bit surreal, seeing that waving like crazy with the ledge woman in the background.

That's when I left.

But after a few minutes she went back to her spot a few feet down the ledge, wrapped her blanket around her, and stood facing away from the window.
