I suppose if an actual terrorist attack happens before election day, this insane strategy will actually get this lowlife elected. And who would be a better terrorist recruiting tool than Rudy? Huck, maybe, but I bet Osama prefers Rudy.

Jesus Christ! I don't even have speakers on my computer here at work, but that ad was crazy! WTF? I hate that this man is the "be afraid all the time" candidate. It's strange, really.

I'd like to see this re-done with footage of Scientologists under the same audio. Can someone get on that, please?

This is very much the bastard grandchild of Lyndon Johnson's ground-breaking fearmongering in the 1964 election, where a cute blond girl is picking daisies, and then gets roasted in a thermonuclear sunrise.

This does not excuse Rudy, he's a world-class asshole. Just not original.

I don't get it. What are Rudy's qualifications for going after terrorists? He fucked up security after the 1993 WTC bombing. He's never served in the military. He's never even been a governor in charge of a state militia. And he hired a crook as police chief. I understand militaristic right-wingers wanting to run against terrorism, but for Rudy to be their chosen candidate seems a macabre joke. If Osama bin Laden had taken out New Orleans, would they all be backing Ray Nagin??

I thought everyone had learned their lessons back in WW2 when the rampant government sponsored racism was used as war propaganda.
Everytime I think, well that was *obviously* in the past it shows up here, still going strong in the 21st century.

"If Osama bin Laden had taken out New Orleans, would they all be backing Ray Nagin??"

Right on. And yes, if he'd had the proper stoic demeanor (and white skin) and made the right photo ops, they would.

Jeesh Rudy. why don't you join the Special forces or foreign Legion or something?
I'm tired of all this War posturing from the repugs, and Mcains ad to romney is the same thing. In fact all the republicans remind me of the Militia men that used to be on the T.V. news headlines back in the early to mid 90s. I wonder if some of those guys don't have the ichy finger to press the 'red button.'
I'm sure hope the Democrat contenders don't fall for bait that the updated news is doing. Such as going gaga for the buzz about Foreign Policy being the driving rod to the white house. And how they all better be like McCain or semthing. They are already all over that one after Iowa is over. I hope the paranoid war mongers get bent.

OMFG! what the shit is this??? is this legit? seriously, this is an ad being AIRED???

being a canadian and living in canada, we don't get to see the vast majority of these types very united states/local market specific commercials as these commercials get opted out for our local market commercials in the canadian feeds, so i guess i find it a bit shocking to find out what the public of the united states is subjected to over their airwaves.

it is absolutely horrific that someone running for public office could possibly think that it is okay to target any one minority religious/ethnic/cultural group in such a negative manner. and what's worse, there are people out there that will be influenced by this propaganda.

i am scared. i am scared that there is a possibility (however remote) that this sort of belief could one day be in control of the country next door.

The type of stuff that gets someone elected president. Many will buy into that.

#10 so true. As in 'Buy into that'= investing, stock, money and their very souls in the trade of war, conflict, and strife.
aside... lets not give up hope as it seems more people are getting fed up with with the propaganda as it shows in the polls for the democrats. All of them are fine with me. Even if they flip flopped from voting for the war to bringing the troops out of the quagmire of constantly being on foreign soil.
Rambo Rudy and his ilk may stick to their guns about their views, but that does not mean they are the leaders this country needs.

Racism hasn't gone away, it's just been resting.

What lesson would we have learned from WW2? The racist propaganda from WW2 is not particularly regretted. The internments, sure, but the other stuff? No one cares or ever has. WW2 was a good war & the complexity of race and the war in the pacific is not high on the (short) list of topics for American self-examination.

Americans will never live in Fear.

We are made of sterner stuff than that.

when you think about , probably the fastest solution for the muslem jihadi problem is global thermonuclear decimation/humiliation...shit it worked for japan

then we can get back to the important issues's like national health care, union syndicalists, redistribution of wealth, pensions, ending goverment theft of regular folks property (the drug war)

I dont give a god damn about a bunch of flea infested sand eatting barbarians....the sooner there dealt with the sooner we can move on to helping ourselves.....
screw ron paul and all the rightest libertarians, and all the corpro globalist looking for cheap cheap labor.....screw the clintons for nafta and giveing the south and midwest the shaft, my town had some decent factorys and jobs before they came along

I actually have no problem with portraying this particular "religious/ethnic/cultural group" as one that is infested with violence, ignorance, and menace (even more than we are).

I just think it's idiotic to think Rudy is gonna have the right approach to the problem. Frankly, if we'd stayed out of Iraq and dumped all that cash into cellulose fuels research, we'd have invested a bit more wisely...and killed fewer people....

I heard the audio of this today, and I seriously thought it was a spoof. It's SO over the top.
