Am I missing something? This doesn’t appear to be part of the plot against Hillary. Why did you post it?
so how long is this temporary injunction for? A normal TRO is just usually a few weeks. No bigge for the ex employee.
If it's for a longer period, like until trial, than the judge would've had to have ruled that Underwood showed the ex employee was likely to violate Underwood's rights and harm him irreparably and that Underwood was likely to ultimately win the whole lawsuit. In that case, it means the judge is basically saying Underwood already proved he is probably right, and the ex employee is probably in the wrong.
There are only so many rich people in any town, and Seattle's belong to Colby.
Right.
It's okay to take what's not yours, if you take it from someone who worked hard to create it, and made it into something valuable, and they're "rich" and you're not.
Why it'd be dumb to work to create something of value yourself, when you can just take it from someone else.
@4 - what's been taken? trade secrets (which entail, in toto: pick up phone, call people, ask for money. repeat)(oops, gonna get sued now...)? (gosh, since I'm getting sued now, more trade secrets: go to PDC website. Get lists. use.) Please. This is nonsense; this is how fundraisers (including Underwood) get started - train by working for someone else, then start their own shop. Then sink or swim on your own merits. Sounds like underwood's afraid he's in danger of sinking.
Hartman's a stand up woman and does not deserve this. Underwood should just accept that former employees are going to continue to do what they were doing for him, fund raising. You know just like he did when he left to go off on his own.
Strange, trade secrets, competition. Where did Colby start? Working for Tracy Newman and then competing against her in the 2004 Governor's race.
Colby's not the only fudraising shop in town, far from it actually. Colby is just the only fundraiser who thinks that getting press for yourself and not the candidate that you are working for is ok. Most fundrasiers shy away from press stories about $$ hoping instead that the press will focus on issues that matter to the campaign and to voters. Colby clearly did not learn that lesson very well.
It's a serious error of judgment spending hard earned money on attorneys trying to control the uncontrollable. I agree with #5, Colby is clearly unable to be successful on his own merits.
Wow, using lawsuits. So Republican sounding. Is he gonna start dialing for dollars for Dino Rossi now? This'll come back to him. This shit always does. Karma baby..........
Perhaps the only fundraising in this town should be *for* Hartman right now.
I am confused here. How is Colby Underwood the only fundraiser in Seattle? Didn't he get his start (and learn his trade secrets) from Tracy Newman. Is she not fundraising anymore? I find it hard to believe that only one person is fundraising for all of the democrats in town. I agree with #8, you know that you are doing a good job when your candidates message is heard, not your name as a fundraiser.
Any of you cowards want to use your real names? Didn't think so...because you are a bunch of followers that like to sit back, criticize and jibber jabber about the people actually doing something consequential with their lives. Jealous much?
Hell, Colby isn't even just fundraising for Dems anymore - last year he was raising money for confirmed Republican Bill Bryant (who ousted Reform Port Commissioner Alec Fisken) and Bob Edwards (who, luckily was ousted by Reform Port Candidate Gael Tarleton).
Hey Ann, maybe we are worried that Colby Underwear will sue us too!!!!!!!
Reasonable men, of whose opinion is worth our will to think, will believe that we acted as we really did. - Socrates "Crito"
Translation: It does not matter what anyone thinks. The judge considered the preponderance of evidence and immediately squashed Ms. Hartmans plans!
Wonder what kind of evidence Mr. Underwood has for the lawsuit, if it is this obvious.
Therapissed! - you SHOULD be sued...for crimes of bad humor, you ignoramous.
