With this news, we're officially closer to the fishing tackle store in NYC with the Twin Towers somewhere in their logo called "They're Jumpin'!"

Oh, come on, that's kinda funny... It's kitschy, it plays off a now commonly-used phrase. It's not racist or defamatory in any way. And they're clearly playing to a particular demo that would think the same.

Who said it wasn't funny, Mickymse? That's why I posted it.

It is a little racist, though. Notice what color the little cartoon homicidal maniac postal guy is? And what's with those pants?

I think the toothpaste ads on the sides of the buses lately are in poor taste: something about a toothpaste and referencing Apocalypse Now "I love the smell of Crest in the morning" or something like that.

I work for a radio station in St. Louis and about a year ago I had to produce a commercial for the new Goin' Postal store that opened up in our area. It was made very clear to me by the powers that be that I had to say "GoIN' Postal," not "GoING Postal," because the phrase "GoING Postal" is copyrighted or trademarked or something by the US Postal Service.
