(Along with her Plan B bill, this is one of Sen. Keiser's bills that I hyped in a column this week laying out some high expectations for the Democrats this session.) Why don't they propose a bill that says every citizen has the right to sign up for the same healthplan that the legislators enjoy and has the obligation to pay the same average premium that the legislators pay, with the financial deficit coming out of the general fund?

And if the plan isn't financially solvent after 1 year, then the whole plan will be abolished and the legislators will lose their health benefits.
