I predict ECB will get lots of catty comments if she actually wrote that.

By the way, are you guys going to ever discuss the issues, or pretend they don't exist like the policies you MSM types never talk about?

For fuck's sake, Will, did you actually look at the piece? It was basically a retooling of one of her earlier Slog posts. It did involve a fair amount of actual policy discussion. (And some catty responses, as well as some decent rebuttals.) You waste enough time here to have recognized that. Are you just trolling, or do you just never read the posts you respond to as a matter of habit?

Are the candidates so elusive that no one can't get a picture of their whole face?

Cool cover. Is he sinking? Or rising?

The thing that drives me craziest about presidential election is the idea that people actually expect the policy postions of candidates to be the outcome of the elected canidate's administration. Sure, all the Dems could be greener, more dedicated to single-payer heath care instead of universal health insurance, and devoted to diplomacy, but, in the end, they must stake positions that will get them elected - this is why the discussion of candidates hardly ever includes the likes of Kucininch, David Cobb, and only mentions Nader as a spoiler.

Of all the like Democratic candidates I would be most inclined to vote for Obama, not because of his policy positions, dear Lord, no. I would forgo voting for policies and, instead vote for a candidate who has demonstrated thoughtfulness, intelligence, consistency, and passion in a way no other candidate of any party has. In addition to these facts Obama has the experience (just because the papers don't print it doesn't mean its absent) and the record of working with all participants in a society - from citizens to elected and appointed officials, business, and advocacy groups.

This is the fact, as yucky as it is: Republicans won't work with Hillary because of who she is. They're jerks because of it.

Is that a booger in his nose?

I'd take any of the D's as president.

But I have very serious doubts about a Hillary v McCain main event.....

Especially after whatever staged 'security crisis' accidentally happens in the late Summer.

You know, Erica could always liveblog Super Tuesday from a Mardi Gras bar.

It would be fun!

(and yes, I read it)

I think Feit should have done the "why he's not" article. With ECB's name on it, it's like, "well no duh she wants the woman to live". (With her reputation.)

Juuuust a thought. You know how 'em peoplez are.

In regards to Brendan's marrow story, is their a video? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see Mr. Kiley hunched like an animal, back to the door, licking at fat and chewing on gristle...

1. I don't see the booger.

2. Mr. Raban captured it better than anyone else has. With a dash of Adam @6.
