Whatever. Didn't the SECB endorse Nader in 2000? I'm still rooting for Clinton.

I bet Erica absolutely hates the Election Control Board for having the same initials. She has to read 'SECB endorses Obama!' That must fucking suck.

I've loved Erica's posts and articles about HRC, and am hoping she keeps it up until the convention. And then I hope she starts stumping for Obama.

Aren't there any links to say the King County Dems caucus site or like the 43rd?

I hear they pay their domain bills ...

www.kcdems.net

they have an awesome freaking google maps layout for where to caucus. i'm going to be at seattle central, drunk as a skunt on apple schnapps, dancing for obamarama.

Erica's head is not going to explode. Look at their track record; I feel confident that with the SECB endorsing Obama, Hillary's nomination is assured.

That is the most retarded conclusion I have ever read. Seismic shift? transcendence? What's next - the planets are aligned?

It's an excellent piece of writing.

The KCDems.net site has such a good caucus locator.

I think Edwards dropping out hurts us in the South but helps us in the states (CA, NY, NJ) we needed help in the most.

Interesting to see where we are in a week.

Oooh, now I see that Hulk Hogan and Craig (as in craigslist.org) have endorsed Obama. Of course, Ric Flair has been stumping for Fuckabee for a while. No word yet on who the Undertaker is pulling for.

Here's a *much* better Caucus finder: http://41dems.org/gmap/caucus.html

@16 I guess I should refresh the main page before making comments like this one.

I think you can also use caucus.kcdems.net and it works the same way.

There's no such thing as caucus.kcdems.net.

The caucus finder at kcdems.net IS the one at 41dems.org. The link at kcdems.net is http://41dems.org/gmap/caucus.html which is what you want.

We now you return you to "Will in Seattle's Stupidtime".

"It's the transcendence, stupid"?

That's how we're going to win the votes of middle American voters in Pensacola, Fla. and Lorraine, Ohio?

But will Erica get laid? Maybe one of our fine upstanding, safe, homeless residents would volunteer to hep ease Erica's pain.

Go Obama!!!

Whoa, this could be big. Obama's gaining big in polling in New York. If Obama holds back HRC in her home state, she could be in big trouble.

Oh, yes: The 'up and coming generation.'

You mean the generation that never gets up off their ass to go out and vote.

Right.

Please TELL ME you have video of the deliberations to post on the Stranger Website. Or at least of ECB when you all reached the, ur, conclusion?

Or should I just go watch CLOVERFIELD again to get the gist of it?

So friggin predictable. And so short-sighted an endorsement. Thankfully, it's as valuable to BHO as would be an endorsement from the Onion. Oh, and I'm not an old white woman. I'm a young gay man. And, for the record, McCain is more pro-gay rts than Obama. Caucus for Hillary if you care about getting stuff done, and not image.

McCain is more pro-gay rts than Obama.

How do you figure that?

From McCain's website under the "human dignity" category:

As president, John McCain would nominate judges who understand that the role of the Court is not to subvert the rights of the people by legislating from the bench. Critical to Constitutional balance is ensuring that, where state and local governments do act to preserve the traditional family, the Courts must not overstep their authority and thwart the Constitutional right of the people to decide this question.

The family represents the foundation of Western Civilization and civil society and John McCain believes the institution of marriage is a union between one man and one woman. It is only this definition that sufficiently recognizes the vital and unique role played by mothers and fathers in the raising of children, and the role of the family in shaping, stabilizing, and strengthening communities and our nation.

As with most issues vital to the preservation and health of civil society, the basic responsibility for preserving and strengthening the family should reside at the level of government closest to the people. In their wisdom, the Founding Fathers reserved for the States the authority and responsibility to protect and strengthen the vital institutions of our civil society. They did so to ensure that the voices of America's families could not be ignored by an indifferent national government or suffocated through filibusters and clever legislative maneuvering in Congress.

States' rights, sweet. And no mention of civil unions, which Obama supports.

Good for you.

Prop 1 supporters thank you for taking a step to square the books.

Hopefully Erica won't take out her frustration by opposing light rail if it's on the ballot by itself this year.

Strange, when I looked at the web version of your endorsement, there was an ad, "Paid for by John McCain 2008", for Obama ("McCAIN DEFEATS CLINTON") WTF! I imagine the Stranger doesn't directly sell adds to McCain, But why is he paying Google to place that ad when Obama's name is mentioned?

Or is it some weird reverse psychology thing? He wants us to think he wants us to think that he thinks he can beat Clinton, so, since we will think we are smart enough to see through is plan, we will vote for Clinton, since he seems afraid of her, but actualyl that's his double reverse psych out and he really does want to run against Clinton? As you can tell, I am very confused ! (But I'm going to vote for Clinton in the primary anyway, thought I suppose I should vote for Rommny, he is probably more beatable, and the Republicans will halfway care about my vote)

Well, technically, there is a domain, it's just a redirect to the 41st.

But people not in the 41st might not think it works for them, so it's best to have them go there thru the kcdems website and then they know they're supposed to use it ...

While your decision is not the one I would've made, it's not the wrong one. Obama is a great candidate for the Presidency and would make a great President.

May the best woman win. ;)

@20 - Fnarf, you continue to be my hero.

To everyone else, please note, Will says whatever he wants to believe and presents it as fact, just like a red Bushie. 'Nuff said.

Hmm, the Stranger endoresement is as vague and rhetorical as a politician's stump speech. No hard proof, no support - just a lot of pomp and circumstance about values and "ideas". Am I supposed to take this seriously? What are the "interests" at stake, what is the "seismic shift" going toward? Let me refer back to your endorsement to ascertain... um... hmm... huh. Nope, no clue. And how come? Because you state a conclusion without explaining why. If you want to see a well-written, well-researched nuanced argument with clear reasoning, check out The New York Times:
