It's confirmed: Chaz is Mr. Poe. Who else has this much idle interest in this story? I sense an epic follow up to Zoo in the offing? I'm guessing you'll be playing up the racist angle with plenty of misogyny for added 'depth'.

A kazillion years ago, I spent a term in Perugia as well and had a huge apartment that had that same view, Charles, as the top picture there (I'm assuming that's the market). My favorite memory: looking out the opposite balcony window at night at the town of Assisi blinking on the hillside in the distance, sipping cheap wine and enjoying that sultry Italian summer...
