Read how the UW and Norm Maleng covered up a brutal rape, and how the UW, years later, was still going out of its way to harrass and humiliate the victim. Read how "when one player was sentenced to 30 days in jail, the judge wrote in her order: 'to be served after football season.'"

But that's off-topic. On topic is this endorsement. I think people are wondering what's so great about "experience" when it's experience in the worst government this country's ever had.

It does seem most likely that The Stranger will come out for Obama, unless they go Don Quixote and endorse Edwards.

But please, can we have the endorsement announcement made live somewhere? I want to see ECB turn weird colors and howl.

Yes, Caucuses, people, the CAUCUSES are coming up on Feb 9, which means we have to turn out (regardless of whom we support). The primary means nothing for delegate selection. Spread the word.

Edwards is toast. It's too bad since he had a good message, but if he can't win in his own back yard and the state of his birth he should bow out while he still has some dignity.

Andy @10: I hope our caucuses aren't a moot point since they come after Super-Duper Tuesday (or whatever the pundits are calling it). If the Clinton/Obama match is still unsettled after 900 other states have their primaries, this could be interesting. Otherwise, it won't matter who Washington Democrats like.

I wish newspapers wouldn't endorse anyone. It's an overestimation of their "power" and influence on a community for them to even think readers care. Newspapers shouldn't have editorial boards or editorial pages; they only piss people off and alienate them from the public. It assumes people are too stupid to make their own political choices.

When you're finalizing your Stranger Endorsement, remember to read Hillary Clinton's book "Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids' Letters to the First Pets" that she wrote in 1993 when she was getting all that experience in the Whitehouse so she could hit the ground running.
