At any rate, it's stupid for anyone NOT to have a passport in Washington. The wait is hella long already and it won't get any better, so my recommendation is to apply now and keep it current, just in case. It's like keeping your driver's license in order, just in case you need to drive someplace. Especially here on the coast, so close to Canada, it makes a lot of sense to keep your passport handy.

-i'm worried that the lowest rated judge was a JUVENILE judge
-the results also smacked of sexism, with female judges getting lower ratings than male judges, so maybe i should reverse my first opinion there; i guess i also need to keep in mind that it's LAWYERS doing the ratings, maybe the lower-rated judges gave a verdict conflicting with what one of the sides was trying for in the way of decisions. also, maybe female judges are tougher on crime?
