Stranger News Hour on 710 KIRO

posted by on January 19 at 12:27 PM

Tune in at 7pm tonight.

I’ll be talking about the first week of the legislature. And burn on me. Despite my curmudgeonly pre-session predictions, the Democrats are actually coming out strong with some good bills.

Erica C. Barnett (!) will join us this week to talk about the the new look city council and what she learned in her interview with Ron Sims.

And…holy shit…today’s the Nevada caucus. We’ll talk about the results. It looks like Romney declares victory and it’s neck and neck between Obama and Clinton. Umm…. was neck and neck a half hour ago. Now Clinton is holding a 50 to 45 lead according to CNN with 35% reporting.

Your bias is showing:

-Plenty of talk about Clinton playing the race card in least few days, but 100% silence on Obama supporters' radio ads saying Clinton does not respect Latinos.

--the link says with 25% reporting Clinton is ahead 53-43%.

Though surely it could change, that's no where near "neck and neck."

Update from MSNBC: With 67% reporting 50% to 45% for Clinton. NBC projects her winner.

Neck and neck indeed.

It could change,

also Edwards about 5% as per the link.

@Vesuvias,

My bias?

A) When I first wrote the post Obama was actually winning.

B) My bias?? Do you read Slog. While I've said I think it would be better for the Democrats if they nominated Obama, I've also been a blatant Hillary fan.

C) The minute that I saw Hillary building up the lead, I amended my post to reflect the new numbers.

Yeah, Edwards should save face and duck out now. And then maybe the Edwards camp can throw its support behind Obama?

@5:
Thanks.
1. Meant "Your" plurally as in "Slog's overall bias"

2.
A. Obama was winning when you wrote it first: point taken. But the link was being updated constantly so how could we know? I looked at the link 20 minutes after your post.
B. You (as in "you all") still haven't reported anything on the Obama supporters' radio ads in NV that said Hillary does not respect Latinos and that were a flip flop from his stand in Iowa that 527's should not do that stuff.
C. Noted.

In other news, Sen Obama won more delegates from Nevada than Sen Clinton did.

Which means he's still ahead.

Ignore the MSM spin - only delegates matter.

If you're counting delegates you should count super delegates so HRC is ahead by far.

WiS@9-

Wrong. NV Dem party is saying the Obama PR piece you're obviously parroting is in fact incorrect.

Whoops. WiS is probably right on the count. NV Dems just backtracked.
