Good news. SPD is in talks to get a mini-precinct in the shopping center at 23rd and Union. Maybe my neighborhood will be quiet again.

it amuses me that often on slog the SPD get a bunch of shit, but when there are gunman running around shooting people or madmen running around stabbing people, all of a sudden SPD is alright.

They finally got that "No Loitering" sign at the ARCO-AM/PM at 23rd & Cherry. In the past, I am have almost always been threatened or harassed with swear words by someone standing outside of the door. One time at like 8 am a guy asked me for money outside and proceeded to follow me around the store while muttering incomprehensible words to me before swearing at me as I drove away. When they feel that they have crossed the line with patrons of the mini-mart I see them promptly leave their position in front of the store and someone immediately takes over so calling the police will do no good and the clerks seem to care less when I express my distress to them.

Fnarf finally has some good advice to offer! The last convicted felon I had a relationship with couldn't seem to keep himself out of jail... He also couldn't seem to keep himself

1) Out of my bank account (amount it cost me: $3000)

2) In legal parking spaces (amount it cost me: $1200)

3) Off of heroin, unbeknownst to me (amount it cost me: 8 months of mental and emotional torture)

Having a mini-precinct at 23rd & E Union (I presume in the old pharmacy storefront), only three blocks up from 23rd & Cherry, would seem to imply that the cops could, um, you know, make more frequent patrols to the open air "drug market" hotspots in the vicinity (E. Union & MLK, E. Cherry & MLK, 22rd & E. Madison, etc., etc.)

If the donut-gobblers are just going to sit inside staring out the window all day, that would pretty much defeat the purpose of setting up a min-precinct in the first place, now wouldn't it?

Yep, keep em moving south--Cherry, Jackson, a few weeks at Parnell's Mini-Mart at 23rd near Dearborn, then onto Rainier itself, then open the sluice gates and flush them straight through Columbia City and Rainier Beach and on into Skyway. Then make Skyway the America/Crack version of Christiania in Copenhagen. I bet there'd be some bodacious hip-hop coming out of that JOINT. Charles could catch the #7 bus down there are report on it.
