Chow See, I Do Say Something Nice About Local Government Sometimes

onWho knew? King County’s web site has a guide to what’s in season here throughout the year. Locavores, enjoy your turnips, beets, and Brussels sprouts soon, because come February you’ll be looking at a steady diet of cabbage, greens, leeks, parsnips and winter squash.

Awesome, I've been wanting this exact thing.
Martin Luther King Jr. County rules.
I hate March. Stupid vegetable-less March. Everyone picks on February, but what did March ever do for you? Huh? Screw March.
March is all about the potato leek soup. March is good. Be kind to March.
I LOVE leeks.
Beets rule. And they make you pee red.
So does a kidney punch.
What do they put in those dark-green chunky diarrhea shakes? ECB would know...
mmm, kidney punch. That sounds tasty. Got a recipe?
From the carnivore side, I can't figure out why chickens and turkey aren't available year-round. Well, I can kind of understand why Turkeys are only available in November, but it still seems weird.
And for those complaining about March, most of the fruit doesn't come in until May at the earliest. :(
All those veggies are all good reasons to roast a chicken and make gravy.
@6,
I think that's your kidney infection talking, but beets do make you shit burgundy.
The King County logo is wrong. It should be a grapic of William Rufus King, for whom this county is named.
Slave-owning lover of President James Buchanan? That William Rufus King?
Rock on!
so strange. I just found the site, independently today! it is cool.
