But look who got the Democratic silver -- uncommitted!
Good. Erase inevitability from all of them, Dem and Repub, and make them actually have to campaign well and hard for the most important elected office in the world.
fool's gold actually.
I know that we kinda wanted this to happen—so that Mittler can keep nipping at McCain’s heels—but just knowing that asswipe won anything other than Best Casserole means I’m gonna be drinking and blasting Bob Seger for the rest of the night.
Go, Willard, go! Keep the field open for Reverend Huck! God is pulling for you!
That was a pretty strong showing for uncommitted in the Dem primary. Uncommitted may yet win the Democratic nomination, and would almost certainly beat anyone the Republicans field.
That was the *second* state Romney won. He was in the lead *before* Michigan.
w00t! I can't imagine a Republican that it'd be more fun to make mincemeat of.
@3: I love you.
And Paul beats Giuliani again. That's getting to be a pattern.
What the hell happened to Giuliani anyway? Wasn't he the presumed front runner a few months ago? Now he can't even break 10%? I realize he's counting on Florida, but at this rate he may not even last till the Florida primary. He's already out of money and not paying his staff. Loosing to Ron Paul doesn't look good, no matter how you spin it.
As for Mittens... Yay! Fracture that party some more. Let the circular firing squad continue till they're all bloody and out of money.
Now if Hillary and Obama would stop race-baiting each other...
Listen up, people!
1. The Obama camp told those of us in Michigan who were for Obama to vote "uncommitted." LOOK at the numbers that bothered to go and do that! Seriously! Yet none of the papers are explaining this.
2. The National Dem party punished Michigan for trying to have an early primary and told candidates to pull out of the primary. Obama and others did that. But Hilary stayed in. So she was the only real-name candidate on the ticket. Now there's word the national party WILL seat our delegates. Hmm..... And so, Hilary gets the Michigan primary, which it looks like Obama might actually have otherwise won (see #1), if he had stayed on against the National Dem request, like Hilary. (Anyone feel as grossed out by this as I do?)
3. The press will tell you McCain won Michigan in 2000. Oh, please. We Dems switched over in the primary to vote for McCain just to punish our jerk Republican governor, John Engler, who was supporting Bush. Sure enough, we crushed Engler; when Bush took office, his former pal Engler got nuttin. So don't think McCain really won in 2000 here either.
Where the hell is the press on these issues?
I'm glad the Mitten voted for Mitt just to keep it all interesting on the evil side of the aisle. But, as a strong Uncommitted voter, I'm more proud of the fact that my county (Washtenaw) was only 1 of 2 counties where Uncommitted on the Democratic ballot got the gold!!
Reverse Polarity @ 11:
A pro-choice Presidential candidate never had a chance in the Republican party. Never, ever, ever.
If Michigan's delegates get officially counted and that puts Hillary over the top, I wonder if there will be a lawsuit.
I read that Romney is getting a lot of support form evangelical voters. I found that curious. I would have thought staunch christians would be against a mormon candidate, but the numbers show differently.
Just thought it was interesting.
