Reasonable prices are the reason this news is good. Lets hear it for reasonable prices! And quality! Finally. I can't wait.

I've noticed that "reasonable prices" have recently come to mean $18 entrees and $5 beers.
How are they going to get the smell out?
It was Jimmy Woo's, what are you, from Bellevue?
Nice to see they're keeping the heroin theme alive on Broadway.
@2: You're absolutely right - reasonable pricing for casual neighborhood joints starts at $12-$13. But it's not because the restaurant owner is trying to be greedy - it's because he/she is trying to just keep the bills paid (especially the rent).
It's sad.
Can they throw a sop to us and call it Jimmy Woo's Poppy?
i'd prefer taco bell, please
They could throw a sop to us just by preserving the garish pagoda over the front door....
what was the surly bartender's name? anybody?
His name was Burt. Loved him.
I love the Herbfarm, I had the best meal of my life there. I'm excited about the idea of Poppy, I really am! But why did you have to go hating on the bell in the end? I was with you until then.
@11 ... thank you.
i heard it was going to be a bit further down than where the jade pagoda is. . .
I'm willing to give Traunfeld the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not sure I can rest easy with someone deciding what a reasonable price is when he owns a restaurant where dinner for two can be $425.
It'd be nice to keep some of The Jade Pagoda around for memory's sake.
Keep bashing the Times and PI, then posting links to the stories that the Times and PI are scooping you on. Please.
Uh, I'm no fan of Taco Bell, but comparing a Jerry Traunfeld joint to 99 cent menu items is waaay off. Many people I know wouldn't even be able to afford a "reasonable" dinner at Poppy.
