Mirk, a former news intern, is a youth. Caucused in Iowa. And she's pals with Alec Schierenbeck. Schierenbeck is the President of the Iowa College Democrats and the face of the youth movement—at least according to the NYT last Thursday night. Schierenbeck (in the Kerry t-shirt), signs in the night's first caucus voter in the Grinnell College gymnasium Sarah filed a great piece, and worked her ass off all Obama-weekend while...

So wait... you yanked a good article worth reading and replaced it with what? Coverage of last night's primary?

That article was good reading... why did you decide to yank it?

I can't believe you would post something about people making fun of crying people. It just proves you are sexist and Caucasiaphobic. Strength through weakness!

as a junior in college, i'm not ashamed to say i did the same thing. except i had tears well up last night in amazement and hope when hillary won new hampshire.

speaking of which, can the stranger look into young, LGBT support of hillary clinton? as a young gay man, most of my straight friends support obama, but an overwhelming majority of my gay and lesbian friends support clinton. could be an interesting story...

hey annie, i agree that it doesn't necessarily "make sense" why i don't support obama. most of the time i just tell people "well he doesn't have enough experience" or something like that, but that really doesn't matter to me.

i read this op article a couple days ago by gloria steinem in the NYT which really crystallized a lot of what i've been thinking. if obama is the nominee, i will still campaign for him, just like i did in 2004 (before i could even vote) after dean lost, but aren't primaries really about who you truly want to be president?

also, annie, i wanted to say your coverage of obama (assuming you are the stranger annie) and the issues is really good and challenges a lot of what i think, which is hard to come by in a lot of places. keep up the good writing.
