rainman @9, i hear you loud and clear. amen. i once got blindsided at an ornette coleman concert by some body mutilation stuff at halftime--some pretentious white male in a bathrobe (with a pretentious assumed name like "muhammad" or some shit) comes out and starts taking about "body play can be enlightening" and then some chick comes out and gets a harpoon shoved thru her lip. god, i couldn't run out of that auditorium fast enough. it was like going out to a nice dinner at a restaurant and suddenly your waitress gets up on you table and gives birth. and somehow, you're some kind of an uptight, unhip asshole for objecting. uhg.

#7 - that's a guy named Matt Zane who claimed he was going to break the current Guinness World record for "suspension" by hanging there like that for over 5 hours and 42 minutes using only 4 hooks instead of 8.

Not sure if he made it, but it was way creepy how he was just hanging in the convention, talking to fans about random things like sandwiches...

There was more fetish stuff at there this year. Someone told me they saw a guy inject whiskey into one of his eyeballs.
