I can't wait until the Stranger Election Control Board (the, ahem, ECB) recommends Obama.

Ms. Barnett:
You mention Barack Obama by name, and you left out "Sen." And you also use facts to make your point.
This is disrespectful. Please tell the others at your klavern meetings to chill. We are for unity, you damnable racist.

Signed,

Ms. Barnett has a point. In that spirit, I am posting a link to a New York Times article about Mike Gravel.

I haven't made up my mind yet. Should I vote for Hillary in the Illinois primary because she's not likely to win Obama's home state?

people get their news from slog???

actually this would probably be a problem for people who get their news anywhere. but i think the clintons are intentionally keeping a low profile right now. the "no press is bad press" rule doesn't apply in politics.

@6: Illinois is awarding its delegates proportionally, so even if Obama wins, HRC should get some. If you want her to get more, then sure, vote for her.

I heard Bobby Kennedy's kids are supporting Clinton? Since we're reporting how each and every Kennedy feels about the primary, can we get maybe a family tree complete with who they've backed?

Posted by arduous | January 28, 2008 11:14 AM

Oh yeah, here it is. Bobby Kennedy Jr and his sister are supporting Hillary.

So little on the recounts in NH.

If they can't get the votes counted correctly now, what will the diebold machines tell us in November.

It's interesting to see how the different sides react after their respective candidates win or lose each primary. I'm sure the Clinton supporters will brag about her huge Florida win tomorrow. And the Obama and Edwards supporters will be dismayed. At this point, the Clinton supporters should be comforted by the fact that she has HUGE leads in the polls of the large states. So, I'm not sure why they are so angry these days. Everyone should calm down.

Obama's got the energy right now, Hillary does not. If she wants news, she has to DO something.

Obama's rolling out endorsements all this week, it's hot news!

Umm...maybe because he's making news? Overwhelming victory in South Carolina, endorsements from key members of the Kennedy family, Toni Morrison...c'mon, these are significant news items that people are interested in reading. If Hillary was getting all these endorsement and had won SC, I'm sure you would have those HRC press releases posted here on Slog. It's just the news cycle, it's nothing to feel persecuted over.

So? Report some Hillary news, Erica. Report away. Report like the wind. Report like Zephyr! Report with a fierce inspiration and righteous power not unlike the passion of Pluto inspired by the fair Persephone! Report, by God! What Hillary news? What news?!?

Also, can something be done to make that spammer @11 go away. Spammers suck.

Hmmm.

It's as if they just can't stand that Sen Obama is doing so well, they have to channel Traitor Novak's position on it that he got from Traitor Rove.

Must hurt always being wrong and not liking the MASSIVE TURNOUT by Democrats and the UNDERWHELMING TURNOUT by Republicants in the caucus/primary so far.

Feel the Blue Tidal Wave ... it will stop for nothing and will wash every Red State clean.

Oh Erica. In two weeks, when Hillary racks up enough delegates that she can clinch the nomination with the delegates you'll goad from your local caucus, you can gloat all you want. And your inner Betty Friedman can rejoice with a shot of brandy and make-up sex with Annie Wagner's inner Susan Faludi.

Meanwhile, let's just enjoy there actually be races in BOTH parties for the first time in our lifetimes.

elenchos has a good point, erica. why don't you seize this opportunity to be the only reporter in the entire world today who is reporting on the clintons? make shit up if you have to!

Seriously, could this be any more childish? Sorry, the big news today is Obama news. Sorry, the big winner this weekend was Obama. Trust me, Hillary got more than enough coverage after New Hampshire. I'm sorry you candidate isn't getting the coverage you want - but do you really have to whine about it this much? It becomes more and more obviously why you support Hillary every day. Are you sure you're not extended Clinton kin? You seem to have a lot of the tendencies.

If you report any Clinton news, it can only be about the never-ending river of dirty-trick sleaze they've been peddling. Yes, I suppose you can try to write some post about some minor, meaningless policy nuance, as you've tried to do-- "Barack Obama sort of supports clean coal; Clinton sometimes kinda doesn't support it as much"-- but the only other thing to focus on from the Clinton campaign now is sleaze, sleaze and more Karl Rove-style sleaze. What if after SC Obama had called Clinton another Geraldine Ferraro? What would you be saying then? Face it, your candidate is nothing but a juicy basket of sleaze. Enjoy the McCain (or God forbid Romney) presidency.

@24, Have you watched the republican and democratic debates? Isn't it eminently obvious that all the democratic candidates are miles away from the republicans?

this is one of my least favorite talking points of the whole election. and it's so blatantly false it makes my teeth hurt.

@21 and others, seriously! Chill out, Erica. If you want to bitch about Obama getting most the lip service in the day, then 1) share some ACTUAL news about Clinton with us, and 2) FIND some actual news. Today's news cycle is Obama's, Ms. Barnett.

Looking forward to Wednesday's announcement.

By the way, Erica, your establishment, odds-on favorite candidate still has the leads where it counts, so where's the beef? Our guy is still climbing his way to the top and quite effectively. Oh, there's the beef.

It takes more than a vagina to justify voting for Billary. I fail to see why a Clinton political dynasty is any more desirable than a Bush political dynasty.

Obama has something HIllary doesn't, and that's charisma.

uh oh yeah, where are all the posts today about the Libertarians? The Greens? The Reform Party (is there even such a thing anymore)? Oh, that's right. They aren't the top story on all the newswires today.
