OMFG! Stephen Hawking is really Xenu, Evil Galactic Overlord!
epic lulz
We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.
It's pretty hard to tell who's crazier. But the Scientologists are definitely pretty whacked.
These guys make me want to be a scientologist.
Nothing's crazier than a Scientologist.
"We are legion" is a quote from the Bible; specifically, from a man possessed by a multitude of demons.
So, the slogan for the anti-cult group is a reference to a book about magical evil ghosts.
"Fight crazy with crazy" indeed.
Persecution of religions worked well in the past, why not give it another go?
Onward Legion, FOR THE LULZ!
Damn socket puppeting @3.
Not sure if 4chan /b/ is crazy, but they're definitely usually (a) a bit perverse, and (b) waaaaaaaaaaay too bored.
This likely stems from the latter.
anon's use of 'legion' stems from the movie 300 more than the bible.
I love living in the future.
It's no longer available to view!
The cake is a lie!
Religious people are fine, but for some weird reason *all* religious organizations ("cult" or not) larger than the individual church are agents of suffering and intolerance.
They suppressed the rest of us for 5000 years. Now it's our turn.
anon is watching, anon is legion.
I thought that video was awesome. Was it their intention to make the best electronic music video of the year?
That kinda turned me on.
@7: Because of course, nobody except religious nutjobs ever quotes or references the Bible. After all, it's not like it's the most influential book in Western literature or anything.
The Rise of the Goons.
Right on..... Fuck the L. Ronners.
In some writings (I don't know what to call them, autobiographical notes, perhaps?) by Robert Heinlein and Issac Asimov, both who knew Hubbard personally as a sci/fi contemporary, they mention him musing the idea of starting a religion to make a shit ton of money off the suckers back in the late 40's. He launched it a few years later, and look at it now.
Too bad they didn't have some spaceship in a comet they could all kill themselves to get to (in their Nikes, or whatever self-respecting cultists wear these days).
And is this so different from the Mormons?
Awesome! Scientology is NOT a religion, it is a dangerous cult! Banish them! Yippee! I think I will make a bumper sticker that says: I Heart Anonymous! :)
We do not forgive, we do not forget. epic Lulz r forthcoming.
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith unto him, My name is Legion; for we are many: mark 5:9
