The first five minutes of the game: Right fucking on.
The next 25 minutes: Ugh.
Seahawks 17, Packers 28 at halftime.
…And the season’s over. Our D barely got close to Favre, our offense couldn’t stay on the field, and Packers RB Ryan Grant handed us two TDs then destroyed us. 42-20. Goodnight.
I don't hate you. I can still taste those Green Bay-bought cheese curds, squeaking on my teeth as I chewed them (as only the best cheese curds do...), driving to our house in Door County.
It's not so much that I hate the Seahawks -- I just hate the fans. As last year, the only time I see people wearing jerseys and Seahwks sportswear is when they make the playoffs.
Walk around Pittsburgh, Green Bay, even Tampa Bay...you see people wearing their kit with pride. In Seattle? Not so much. It's a fair weather town when it comes to supporters, IMHO.

@5, we make our teams earn our support. If you win and we're going to support you 100% with cheering, stadiums and the like. If your the Sonics, then well have fun in Oklahoma.
@10 -- Pre-CISE-ly why I don't even follow American football, and why I've been a passionate fan of English soccer for 15 years...in that environment, your team may lose every game for five years and you still have fans in the stands, signing their hearts out, wearing the kit, and saying, "Wait till next year."
The true test of a fan is not when the team is winning, my friend. This city's fans are sickenly mercurial...so easily attracted by the next shiny, bright thing.
Lame.

@ 14 - because soccer isn't about soccer, it's about hating your neighbors and people with funny accents, and that never goes out of style.
Also, most NFL teams probably get more consistent support than the Seahawks, i.e., Packers fans leave their season tickets in their wills, the Redskins have been mediocre for 20 years and still sell out, etc.

Hawks defense got utterly demolished. Offense couldn't not stay off the field. That was a slow, methodical butcher job by the Pack. It was rough to watch.
Don't say shit about the snow while grasping for an excuse unless for some reason you're talking about the 8-0 Cleveland/Buffalo game from earlier this season.
Pats, though? One out of two ain't bad.
C'mon, Seattle, enough hating. The Pats still suckle. Mouth up on a teat. It'll be ok.

Seahawks coughing up the early lead. Nice. Karma for that cousin of the "The View" hostess being your quarterback.

Go Packers!
(like you people needed any more reasons to hate me)

@2: sister-in-law, I believe - but il n'y a pas de quoi at this point.
Favre is so pretty.
The game is increasingly abstract with all the snow. Pretty soon all Fox'll broadcast is a blank white screen and inane commentary.
Geez, you guys are getting

Considering that the Seahawks have not missed the playoffs since 2002, they should have earned your support by now.
Well, that was fun, eh? It's one thing to lose, but they got fucking murdered.
i missed the good part. it was a slow, painful, downhill couple of hours.

@16 - Some of that might have to do with the Redskins being around since 1932, and the Packers since 1919.
Yeah, but the PATRIOTS RULE!!!!!
Thank God! the Seahawks lost! Because they are loosers! Lets demolate the stadium with the Seahawks in it to demonstrate our displeasure!!!!
As long as you're "demolating" there, Just, you might as well take out the ballpark next door as well....
now i can safely plan a day @ Crystal Mountain on Feb. 3rd.
football is (now) dead to me.

ha ha! The Seahawks are a bunch of homophobes, they get what they deserve! TO LOSE!!!!!!
Seattle sucked it up on that one. Probably divine punishment for Matt Hasselbeck's mustache.
Also, #5, Seattle fans wear their jerseys... ON GAME DAY.
