That seemed a little, uh, scripted.

And this is why Huckabee is a HUGE problem for the dems. Because he comes off as a nice guy with a good sense of humor.

I think Huckabee will take the GOP nomination.

He does come off as charming, which just makes him all the more creepy considering his off-the-wall positions. I can help expecting a Toclafane invasion if he wins.

Colbert is so not funny. And Huckabee is a Religious Extremist.

Was Colbert reading off of blue script cards last night, like Stewart was?

You know when they come and get you in the middle of the night they'll be smiling just like Huckabee.

He seems like a nice guy in the same way George W seemed like a nice guy in, say, 1999.

Dude!

George W NEVER seemed like a nice guy.

Well, OK, kind of like the harmless dolt next door that couldn't pronounce "aluminum" correctly. But you knew it was OK because he couldn't start WWIII.

Until he got the presidency. *shiver*

Choppily edited, scripted, Colbert not particularly funny. Stick any politician in that chair and the results are the same. Zzzzzzzz.

I'm disappointed that Colbert has been having him on. He's not doing anything to illustrate what a wingnut the guy is and in fact is making him appear like just the kind of guy you want to have a beer with that is largely responsible for us getting stuck with Bush. Doubly icky because Colbert seems to be doing it merely to stoke his own ego.

I was okay with Stewart returning for the reasons given, and have liked the way he's been handling it but Colbert is rapidly plummeting in my esteem.

haukabee has strange views on issues...
BUT HE'S GENUINE
HE'S HONEST
which scores alot of points with me
and unlike most evangelicals and even democrats (*cough*clinton *cough) he's highlighting the more merceiful social aspects of christianity
poverty relief
mercy for criminals
mercy for immigrents
an end to an income tax system which burdens the poor and middle class far more then those who can afford to cheat it

I may not vote for him...or agree with him on many issues

but I admire and respect him
he's the best republican out of the swine
