This picture illustrates very nicely something I noticed recently. I drive for Metro, so I spend a lot of time looking out for other cars and people in the crosswalk. The style of crosswalk in this picture makes people more visible, because the pedestrians with their dark clothes in the crosswalk beak the pattern of the smaller stripes. Nice from a driver's perspective especially at night or when it's dark and rainy.
