But was he married? This could just be another example of how damaging single parent households are to children.

Yes, he's married to the kids' mom. (Read the story.)

ugh. two of the kids names that he chucked off the bridge are also the names of one of my sibblings and I. creeepy.

Also, @ 1) Married or not, mistress or not, it's a hetero couple. which is the point of these posts.

The horse - it is dead. Please to be stopping the beating.

Wait. He had a wife... AND a girlfriend... to whom he would routinely drop off his (and his wife's) kids?

Is this like standard Gulf Coast practice? Cause the story's description is just too nonchalant.

Luong had a drug habit and had argued with his wife, Ngoc Phan, before taking the children....

Luong's girlfriend, who was living in a hotel in nearby Gulfport, Mississippi, was a factor in the couple's argument....

Ya think?

Besides, he's an immigrant so the fundies will just blame that. Everyone knows that foreigners don't have values.

Other things that Dan is missing while on the airplane. http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2008-01-09-unchurched-survey_N.htm?!?!

Yes, it's USA Today, but I like that 44% of Americans find Christians annoying.

Excuse me, 44% of Americans who don't go to church find Christians annoying. Sort of a major omission on my part.

AKH, I shouldn't *have* to read the article to find out such information. The whole point of these posts are to illustrate the horrible things heterosexually married couples do to their children. Learn the genre.

I don't suppose y'all are looking for any crimes by gays against their children, or doing any kind of, you know, meaningful statistical analysis?

Good because the shrimp you're looking at are probably dead babies. Baby shrimp who were probably hoping to have a long and happy life before you ate them.

@4 The beating is being inflicted on Gay Americans because THEY are not good enough to be parents. As the Religious Extremists would have you believe. So to counter the beats and show the lie for what it is, ie ONLY a Father and a Mother are good for children, Dan provides this public service. Now back away from your dead horse and move along.

For anyone wishing to see the other side of the coin, namely if gay parents can do as well or better than breeder parents, check out this story, first seen on The Stranger's Forums:

And I'll be they didn't even have a temporary parental license. Is it possible many of these tragedies could be prevented if people only knew that unprotected sex usually results in unexpected fetuses?
