Something similar happened to the little queer kid I mentor before he was taken from his parents and adopted by a loving lesbian mom. She has a rather different method of disciplining him, doing things like taking away his iPod.

these stories won't stop if the gays get equal rights.

humans are apes & infanticide is a part, albeit an aberrant part, of ape behavior.

As usual, your collection of news clippings don't prove anything.

But it's interesting what Mitt says about how divorced parents still "have" a mother and father. And even if your hetero parents are dead, their memory still exists and sends powerful penetrating rays of heterosexuality from the afterlife into the developing child's body and brain.

So... what if a kid is adopted by gays? Those kids still have a mother and father out there somewhere. Even if a kid with gay parents has bio parents who are dead, their memory still exists. It's not like your gay parents can erase the memory of parents who where so heterosexual they went and had sex so heterosexual (with the dad's penis in right there in the mom's vagina!) that mom became preggers and all that. No gay moms or gay dads can gay up something like that.

So what is Mitt's problem here? Having gay parents is no worse than having divorced parents or dead parents in Mitt's world, so how bad can that be?

Right? I don't know. I think Mitt is nuts so why do I try to figure out what he means?

I'd like to add that having lost my mother at the age of five, I retain almost no "gender memories"; it wasn't until my adolescence that being a girl began to be important to me. Therefore, I think Mitt's fantasy of mystically imbibed gender-identification, or opposite-gender parent representation being housed in a child's primal "memory", is ridiculous. I never felt I "had" a mother once she died; it was only through the obvious fact of being born that I felt the connection.

And frankly, I love the family I've got, but has anyone read Dan's books containing records of his interactions with his son? The kid lucked out being raised by Dan and Terry. I wish my father had had as much sense as they do.

That's one of the most horrific examples of child abuse I've ever heard of. And that's saying a lot!

I highly doubt that the guy was just pissed that the baby wouldn't stop crying. He wanted to get his jollies by torturing another human being. Frustrated (and stupid) parents hit or shake crying babies. Sociopathic pricks do what this guy did.

So help me, this guy needs to get FUCKED in the ass in jail until he shits blood for what he did to that boy!

It also never fails to amaze me how abusers prefer bloodcurdling screams over fussing, whining, and crying.

I'd like to cut off his balls with a butcher knife so he'll never reproduce again.

God, I hope that baby gets placed in a safe and loving home. With physical therapy and a lot of love that little boy might be able to recover a happy life.

First, let me say, HOLY FUCK!

That's a fucking terrible story.

Second, as I'm generally a cold callous bastard (despite this I was still shocked by the story), I did laugh out loud (and still have the grin on my face as I write this, yes Virginia, I am going to burn in hell...) upon reading the extra crispy comment.

That was in such poor taste and yet so damn funny that I'll probably remember that joke longer than I remember this terrible story.

Damn.

Again I say, HOLY FUCK! It's a fucked up world we live in. Damn!
