Despite her advocacy for the drug companies—she argued incorrectly that the bill held drug companies and health-care providers to a different standard than legislators, who she absurdly claimed don&apos;t have to disclose gifts—the bill passed out of the health care committee today, 5-4. The bill died in the senate rules committee last year....</description>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Unlike the claim in the previous post, the bill exempts the first $100 every year of drugmaker tchotchkes like pens, mugs, and pads of paper. Which makes it entirely reasonable, in my opinion; advertising giveaways shouldn't be able to sway anyone smart enough to get a college degree.</p>]]></description>
