Dept. of Unsubstantiated Rumors

posted by on January 2 at 12:35 PM

This just in:

Was there a shooting near ASKO/Burke Building? Cops everywhere, SWAT, streets blocked off. Is this in connection with the Cap Hill shooting?

Doubtful. But anyone know what’s going on down there?

UPDATE: The incident at the Burke building concerned a “suspicious package,” which has since been determined to be a package and not, you know, a bomb.

Yes, the killer graduated from knives to guns. I seriously have doubts but keep the rumors flying!!

I think it is Mr. Poe who did both. And Mr. Poe is homeless and a mental patient.

I work in the Burke building. It was a "suspicious package."

Connection with the Capitol Hill murder? Why yes. The homeless are being scapegoated in the Fremont incident too.

If we could only bring Dave Reichert back to investigate this, I'm sure Mr. Poe would confess...

If you bring Dave Reichert, it will take 20 years to solve it. It only took him 25 years to catch the green river killer.

I saw Mr. Poe leaving a package of suspicious chocolates.

Luckily, I defused it by eating them.

And, let's not bring Dave Reichert into this, it would bankrupt the county AGAIN ...

Over the years, the Seattle Bomb squad has defused a giant metal heart-shaped artwork, and detonated a Christmas-wrapped salad-shooter and box of kittens as "suspicious objects."

It'd be a testament to our collective sense of paranoia to see the log of how many times they're called out and what sort of stuff they've blown up.

The only illegal thing I've done would be r***ing Dan Savage. Ask 'em.
