I have no clue if this is true or not. But it does indicate that Obama is planning on fighting this all the way. Which is probably what he'll have to do. And a grueling, long victory over the Clintons would be stellar training for the general.... As for why not VP, because Edwards does not have enough delegates to put Obama over the top by making a deal, Obama doesn't need to offer him VP. Obama can get all his delegates for a cheaper price, by offering him a mere cabinet post. Leaving the door open for Obama to trade VP for other, greater benefits from someone else.

Richardson (foreign policy experience + ties to Latinos + W states), Wesley Clark (military and foreign policy experience) or Colin Powell (wow!! That would be different and transcendent, doubling down like Clinton + Gore, and would reinforce the new nonracial and new bipartisan politics, eh?)

or Webb from Virginia (foreign policy experience, ex Republican, economic populist, Southerner, etc.).

Meanwhile, nice to know that both Clinton and Obama have pulled their most agressive radio ads in SC.
