Why is connoisseur modified? Knows better than what?
No more writing on stuff! When did this get so predominant? I like that painting as a design; but as an artist, if you don't think the work can speak for itself, distracting us with little sayings doesn't elevate the piece.
ART/TITS
@2 -- FTW
The "art" at Grey isn't art at all. It's faux-art, and Grey is just another place created to give people who don't know anything about art a place to go, listen to bad music, and sip overpriced cocktails whilst feeling self-important.
*gag*
I have eight ribbons, a punching bag, and a tabletop fan-- if I cover half of the fan in plastic wrap, place the ribbons on the wall, and hang the punching bag "ironically" in the middle of the room, does that make me an aRtist?! The answer, plain and simple, is NO.
I'd be so happy if the next Grey exhibit featured a tabletop fan half-covered in plastic wrap with, surrounded by just over a half-dozen ribbons, and perhaps something like a punching bag square in the middle of the room.... It may not have been art to begin with, but now it's been justified.
Oh. Never mind. "Fuck this!" was correct.
