Unless he pulls off a miracle on Super Duper whatever Tuesday, he's done. It is looking more and more like a Hillary/Obama run off. Edwards is in a position to play kingmaker. He would make a good VP choice for either Hillary or Obama, and if he seriously threw his weight behind either of them, it would seal the deal. He is in the perfect position, right now, to make the best deal possible.

A well time swap of his constituents to her would be a hell of a boost if it was timed right. I can't imagine him taking VP, but AG or White house counsel might be a good choice. He might even be shooting for the judiciary.

I can't see him supporting Obama given Kerry's endorsement there though. Too much bad blood left.

I believe that considering his wife's terminal illness, Edwards will probably not take a post in a Obama or Clinton administration if offered and will in all probability spend more time with the wife and family and continue his anti-poverty work.
