Um why is no one liveblogging the debates? Hillary and Obama are gunna cut each other. She's talking about his Regan comments he is talking about WalMart, the audience is going crazy!

i think the booing/clapping also charges the candidates.

i like obama, but he doesn't seem as sharp tonight. he keeps drawing negative comparisons instead of answering the question and moving on... and when he defends himself, he's all over the map. i know he can explain himself better than that (on his healthcare plan now)...

@62 - Apparently, when you participate in a caucus, you have to sign a statement saying you won't vote in a primary. I don't know how legally binding it is, but ...

I was seriously thinking I'd just participate in both the Republican caucus and primary, since, though I lean Obama, I may well be more interested in who the Republicans nominate. My vote there would probably matter more as well, since there's, what, eight Republicans in the whole city?

@64 if the dems have it wrapped up on 2/5 there is really no point in anyone in washington caucusing for the dems. it'd be better for everyone to vote in the republican primary. dailykos and lots of other folks encouraged people to skip the dem primary in michigan and vote for romney.

IF you decide to vote in the feb 19th election (I am highly recommending to everyone I know to vote a BLANK ballot, as the Ds are not using ANY of the election outcome to decide on their delegates - the Rs are only using the election results for 48% of their delegate selection) you will HAVE to sign by one of the following oaths in order for your D or R vote to be tabulated:

The Democratic Party Oath: I declare that I consider myself to be a DEMOCRAT and I will not participate in the nomination process of any other political party for the 2008 Presidential election.

The Republican Party Oath: I declare that I am a member of the Republican Party and I have not participated and will not participate in the 2008 precinct caucus or convention system of any other party.

How binding are these? I don't know. What I DO know is that if you sign by one of these oaths, your information WILL be sent on to the Secretary of State, who will then share that information with either the Ds or the Rs.

Again - my best suggestion IF YOU WANT YOUR VOICE TO BE HEARD IN THIS PROCESS:

1 - Attend your caucus on SATURDAY THE 19th of FEBRUARY at 1:00 PM. Don't know where your caucus is? GO TO King County Elections. - on that page there are links to both the KCDs and the KCRs

2 - VOTE A BLANK BALLOT when it comes to the Primary Election of 19 FEBRUARY - this will show that you participated in the election process, and your information will NOT get shared with EITHER of the parties. It will be recorded as what is called an "undervote."
