you know, brick is a relative term. in earthquake-prone regions of the world, brick is not flexible enough to withstand earth's tantrums. brick is therefore fragile. brick, therefore, tends to fall down.
it even tends to kill people at much higher rates than other construction materials and is seen as anachronistic, and inferior.

Posture, maybe ... I have to admit I like the first one better. Is that Claire Danes? Maybe I grew up, she was totally my first crush in high school. I played guitar, wrote bad poetry (I had a hit every once in a while), and wanted to be the mysterious bad boy ... (I had to look it up, I couldn't remember)... Jordan Catalano. But when the girls said I reminded them of Brian Krackow, oh god I was SO crushed. In hindsight it's quite funny.

@12 LOL, that's what I thought when I saw the pictures.

Charles does illustrate The Commodores' definition "She's a brick----house
The lady's stacked and that's a fact".

@36, You are entitled to your opinion, personally I think "any anymore than a hand full is wasted", and of the pictures shown here, I like #2, but since you mentioned a name (I didn't know who either of them were) I looked up Monica Belluci and found Wikipedia has a picture of her in the same outfit as Mudede's "Women of Italy" post, perhaps from a little earlier in the evening, and, OK you are right "everyone who's sane prefers Monica Belluci", however, if you click, the Wikipedia picture and look at the full resolution image, you might, depending on your preferences, reconsider, she looks to me about my age, which I consider a plus, but unfortunately I am actually rather older. Considering that Martha Stewart (yes, I'm a freak) is 22years older than Monica, one might question Charles comments on the aging of Italian women, or maybe he's looking a about a foot lower than I am.

But to be pragmatic, the first picture looks like unless you are George Clooney you won't get a second look, but the second looks like she doesn't really want to be there, and if one offered to make her a cup of tea, draw her a bath and massage her feet, one might have a chance, well, not me, but someone.

I think I screwed up my last post, when I LOLed at @12, it was because when I first saw the picture, I thought, except for gender, that looks like Dan's type, (I like her as a woman). Except for reading his column, I don't even know Dan, which is what makes it funny, I wonder if 12 really was from Dan?.
