It was fun. Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you to everyone who came down to Moe Bar… RTM, Fnarf and Mrs. Fnarf, Dan, Monique, Comte, Will, Catalina, Andrew, Dave, Wise Punk, Monkey Fist, Scary Tyler Moore, Rhett, Mr. Poe,
Or at least, that's what their name tags said.

No thank you. I suspect you all look
much better in my imagination than you
do in person....and I do hate being disappointed.
Did Ecce Homo show up?
And Amy Kate, Mr Poe and I look nothing alike aside from being skinny brown haired gays with glasses,
Identical, in other words.
I took my boyfriend and we had a real good time... It was nice to do something other than the "regular" gay bars. I said hi to Ari Spool and Jonah Long Last Name Lee and the guy who does games and sports? it was loud and I didn't catch that one....
But we sat at the bar next to a guy who works at a video store near my house and talked movies.... It was pretty cool since movies are my thing.
I read slog every day....i'm kinda a lurker,, but it was cool to put faces to names since i follow the Project Runway blogs and some others... but it was even better to meet new people and get out... looked like lots of interesting people there...
Um, excuse me, skinny brown haired guys with glasses? Want my phone number?
Opps, didn't see the gay part. Damn.
Blaire, you are both darling. It was dark in there and I was drinking, but I stand behind my judgment that you look a lot like a clean-shaven Mr. P.
@ Hey, Im desperate enough. And it will make Mom and Dad happy.
I will be there next month, ecce's sock-puppet can meet me there
you were all utterly charming, especially the gentleman who impersonated "tim keck" - what a hoot!
Also, it was a remarkably good looking group.
Apparently I have a bad reputation. I'm really not angry. There are no meds for me to forget to take. But it is gratifying to see that some have the impression that I'm perhaps, what's the term? Unhinged?
That Tim Keck is a very, very nice person. Gracious. Made me nervous at first but I think he's for real. Amy Kate Horn is charming. The Public Intern I didn't speak to (afraid). He's a rock star, you know?
Jonothan Golob is a very nice guy, and seems respectable. I have this statistics-related dispute with him that I still hold a grudge over. Maybe we can work that out. Am I the only one on Earth who read John Allen Paulos?
And there's the Sloggers like Monique and Poe. Sex bombs, more or less. Wait til' you're old, is all I can say. Oh yes, you jusst wait.
Yeah, the bouncer at Moe Bar demanded my ID suspiciously, then gave me that look that said, you're really fuckin well preserved, grandpa. Indeed. Very well preserved.
I'll be back.
Anyone think the Slog will be more or less interesting now that we are no longer complete Strangers, so to speak?
I don't know how I feel about elenchos. Fear. I suppose.
Woe... I was kept at work late... I'll make it in January.
Same bat place, same bat time?
EXPAND IT? WHAT??! WHAAAAAAAAT?!!?! EXPAND IT?!?!?! WHAT?!?!
Everyone was nice? Well, that's boring.
Hey, Abulafia, Meat Weapon, and I were over in a corner laughing hysterically at brandonj's jokes. I think Abulafia kidnapped MW to keep him from taking over the 36th District Democratic Precinct Organization.
And Nan was really in control of everything. It was, IMHO, the high point of the social season. Too bad the girls had to work.
Anne waggner and others just showed at Liberty - dont you think they should get their picture taken with Santa & post it?
Thank you to everyone who tried to help me find my wallet. Didn't find it, though.
I just left Moe. That was super fun, it was amazing to meet other Slog addicts face to face. Bellevue Ave and his awesome gf (who is not just B Ave's hand inside a spa glove, Fnarf, I talked with her for hours), and Will in Seattle, Original Andrew, Original Monique, Original Hernandez (that dude is CUTE), and a host of others. I like how all the lurkers came out to drink with us. Next time, I want to meet more of you!
Alcohol makes everything just a little bit easier, and that's my final comment on the matter.
I want to see photos. Any up at the flickr pool yet?
Rainman, I want to talk to you about religion next time.
Sorry, I had to cut out early, but hey, that sound insulation isn't going to put itself up into the ceiling of my theatre.
And Ari, I totally apologize if I was spreading spit, it was not intentional - I'll work on that for next time.
And to all of you who turned out, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet all of you - I'll be in less of a rush next time around.
On the other hand, Napoleon XIV - Vikings fucking RULE, dude!
Guess who works with my dad? GUESS?
DUDE!!! GUESS WHO WORKS WITH MY FATHER!!! GUESS!!!
your dad is Adrian Ryan? Me too!!!
HOLY FUCKING CHRISTMAS!!! GUESS WHO WORKS WITH MY DAD AND SLOGS ALL DAY LONG!!! JESUS CHRIST ON A POGOSTICK WITH CRUTCHES!!! GUESS WHO HAS SERIOUSLY SIZED UP MY FATHER AS A SEXUAL PROSPECT AND TOLD ME THAT HE NEEDS TO GET NORDICTRACK! CMON FOLKS, GUESS!!!
Methinks you must've imbibed tonight.
It is true that I drank hella. but it is also true that one hilarious and abrasive employee of a certain company that specializes in beeple software also works alongside my own father. it is truly a christmas miracle.
OMG! HE ACTUALLY LOOKED AT MY DAD IN A SEXUAL WAY! I AM SCANDALIZED AND SOMEWHAT HONORED???
seattle is mayberry but without barney fife
I have one word for tonight: JACKPOT!
my GF said that she isn't a glove but she loved the album "smell the glove"
Wow, sounds fun! Bellevue seems a trifle excited. ;)
he gets like that

Bellevue ave is rocking my world. HA.
I WAS there, I just didn't wear a name tag.
I'll leave it up to all you losers which one I was.
Hint: I was wearing pants.
:D I wanna come next time, if only to observe. I mostly lurk around, so I can just perpetuate that in real time. I just met Adrian the other day. He was very perky and excitable, much like his column. So, I suspect most people aren't all that different, unless our own subconscious reinterprets meanings for things.
Christ almighty... this sounds like it was a fucking nightmare!
I was TOTALLY going to go, but then I had to break up with my girlfriend. Tonight, of all nights.
Next time, though!
It was a very fun time. I got to spout off whatever jackass thing was in my head (thank you, beer), build a condo out of cards, and yap with a table full of Sloggers while Jonah live-Slogged it (so meta!). Also, I got a hug from Mr. Poe, and I don't really know what that was about, but it was nice.
a lovely time was had by all! the public intern is cute as a bug's ear! and so tiny! fnarf, i STILL want to have your children. and yes, katelyn, original hernandez is very cute. the highlight of the evening for me was discussing film with the estimate mr. mudede. i nearly plotzed!
and comte, i will buy the first copy of that book about the history of seattle theatre if you write it.
amy kate horn is BEAUTIFUL!
@29: Mr. Poe
I had fun. I had like 10 doubles and my tab was 10 bucks. Booyah.
Ecce, it would totally be like you to show up and not reveal yourself, you cowardly little shit.
It was nice to meet everyone.
I'm so "slungover" right now. I even woke up before the alarm clock went off.
Hahaha...It was an amazing night. I loved meeting everyone. Mr. Poe, just adorable. I probably gushed a little too much at Golob, but I think he is the cutest/smartest thing ever. Greg was soooo nice, I was glad we took over that table. =) I loved meeting Public Intern, such a cutie pie.
Bellevue Ave and his GF are AWESOME, as is Andrew, Katelyn, Comte, Fnarf, elenchos (and his wifey!), Scarey Tyler Moore, etc.
Jonah, Amy Kate, Annie, Ari, Charles...all rad. I loved meeting them.
I can't wait for next month, where hopefully I can be even more of a HUSSY!
(and inpregnate Poe, god willing)
monique, I would have said hi to you but I couldn't take my eyes off of your...nametag. Yeah, nametag. That's the ticket.
DONDE ESTA EL STOCK PRICE, ORIGINAL MONIQUE?
By the end of the night I was talking to Charles about when it's okay to cheat on your spouse. I think he was wasted because he kept giggling like a schoolgirl.
OMG, I totally forgot to give a shout-out to Blaire!
And I don't think he looks like Mr. Poe, but he is definately a sweetie.
Confidential to Bellevue Ave: Your GF is rad, that girl is a keeper. =)
@wisepunk....there is always next month. But I might have an even more revealing name-tag placement then....
Here's looking forward to January 10th! Had a great time talking to many of you, hope I get to meet the rest next time. And thanks for the compliment, Katelyn! You're my new favorite.
Confidential to Original Monique; she says thanks not only for the "being a keeper" but also yapping with me about housing woes. (she gets talked to about it on a daily basis by me...finally someone took the pressure off! THANKS!)
Sorry I missed it but I will be there in January.
pouting that i had to miss it; i was hosting my own xmas function last night...
ha, ha; i love bellevue ave drunk posting at 1am....drunk posting is almost as much fun as drunk dialing.
Didn't really talk to too many people, since I showed up late and had to leave early, but to those who I did, nice to meetcha. And since pretty much all of you couldn't stop talking about video games when I brought them up, maybe it's about time we get that Slog Gaming Night thing going, huh, Jonah?
Monique is awesome.
I work with bellevue's dad.
I was the coolest person there.
I'm late for work.
Napoleon is an adventurer.
Next time, Slog. Next time.
Big mistake being the coolest, Poe. Too much pressure. Much better to be, say, the third or fourth coolest, which is where I come in.
It's hard being the coolest person everywhere you go. My life is not easy.
Fnarf (apparently pronounced fnarf, not f-narf - me=dipstick.) i never caught the name of that woman who was im.personat.ing a Mrs.. thank goodness though, good to chat with someone who knows music.
Good day 2 u(so Hot today!). i have to go home and change outfits. BYYYYEEE!!!!
I was there too. Guess I missed the meet and greet. Those Pear Naked Martinis are fabulous.
I was there - Original Monique was ultra sexy and I know Charles loved her house, Fnarf and Bellevue Ave (a guy, by the by) were cool, the Public Intern was very outgoing, and there were so many sexy women I'm on overload and babbling in ancient greek ... I especially liked meeting all the Lurkers and the Forum people.
So, we have to wait until January 10th, huh?
it was fun. next time i'll have to branch out and talk to someone other than carollani's girlfriend. the $2 beers were nice.
Let's see if i can get that Facebook link working for my name ...
I was there, but I couldn't find nametags anywhere. I mostly talked to Joh, though I had a nice conversation with Jibberish, and Jonathan Golob is my hero with whom I am currently in love, and I may have instigated that conversation with Charles about adultery. Overall it was a blast, I'll totally be there next time!
Aislinn brings up a good point - next time bring more nametags!
Hernandez helped me make my own nametag, I couldn't find the official ones either. Later, I got mocked in the bathroom by some gorgeous black lady for wearing my name on my chest.
@61 "I work with bellevue's dad."
Ha! I knew it. (see @46) Checking out the daddy-aged man was a dead give away.
I do likes me some daddy.
Hey nice talking with everyone, hope to do it again sometime in the near future.
@24: Sounds great, Katelyn. Nice talking to you last night, also Hernandez, Scary Tyler Moore, Rhett Oracle, Will, and Tim K. (Sorry if I left out anyone). Thanks Amy--see you next month.
Too bad one of my longest time friends in Seattle, Crow, was unable to be here due to her cancer treatments. We're pulling for you!
