Y’all Are So Cute

posted by on December 13 at 20:38 PM

Seriously. Thank you to everyone who came down to Moe Bar… RTM, Fnarf and Mrs. Fnarf, Dan, Monique, Comte, Will, Catalina, Andrew, Dave, Wise Punk, Monkey Fist, Scary Tyler Moore, Rhett, Mr. Poe, all the rest whose names have already sunken into the murk of my memory… THAT was fun. We had more than 40 people show up and truly, everyone was nice and articulate and interesting. Thank you so much for making Slog Seattle’s best blog (by far). I will see you at the next Slog Happy—Thursday, January 10, 6 pm.

Or at least, that's what their name tags said.

No thank you. I suspect you all look
much better in my imagination than you
do in person....and I do hate being disappointed.

I took my boyfriend and we had a real good time... It was nice to do something other than the "regular" gay bars. I said hi to Ari Spool and Jonah Long Last Name Lee and the guy who does games and sports? it was loud and I didn't catch that one....
But we sat at the bar next to a guy who works at a video store near my house and talked movies.... It was pretty cool since movies are my thing.
I read slog every day....i'm kinda a lurker,, but it was cool to put faces to names since i follow the Project Runway blogs and some others... but it was even better to meet new people and get out... looked like lots of interesting people there...
thanks folks....

Um, excuse me, skinny brown haired guys with glasses? Want my phone number?

Opps, didn't see the gay part. Damn.

Blaire, you are both darling. It was dark in there and I was drinking, but I stand behind my judgment that you look a lot like a clean-shaven Mr. P.

you were all utterly charming, especially the gentleman who impersonated "tim keck" - what a hoot!

Also, it was a remarkably good looking group.

Hey.

Apparently I have a bad reputation. I'm really not angry. There are no meds for me to forget to take. But it is gratifying to see that some have the impression that I'm perhaps, what's the term? Unhinged?

Anyway.

That Tim Keck is a very, very nice person. Gracious. Made me nervous at first but I think he's for real. Amy Kate Horn is charming. The Public Intern I didn't speak to (afraid). He's a rock star, you know?

Jonothan Golob is a very nice guy, and seems respectable. I have this statistics-related dispute with him that I still hold a grudge over. Maybe we can work that out. Am I the only one on Earth who read John Allen Paulos?

And there's the Sloggers like Monique and Poe. Sex bombs, more or less. Wait til' you're old, is all I can say. Oh yes, you jusst wait.

Yeah, the bouncer at Moe Bar demanded my ID suspiciously, then gave me that look that said, you're really fuckin well preserved, grandpa. Indeed. Very well preserved.

I'll be back.

Hey, Abulafia, Meat Weapon, and I were over in a corner laughing hysterically at brandonj's jokes. I think Abulafia kidnapped MW to keep him from taking over the 36th District Democratic Precinct Organization.

And Nan was really in control of everything. It was, IMHO, the high point of the social season. Too bad the girls had to work.

I just left Moe. That was super fun, it was amazing to meet other Slog addicts face to face. Bellevue Ave and his awesome gf (who is not just B Ave's hand inside a spa glove, Fnarf, I talked with her for hours), and Will in Seattle, Original Andrew, Original Monique, Original Hernandez (that dude is CUTE), and a host of others. I like how all the lurkers came out to drink with us. Next time, I want to meet more of you!

Alcohol makes everything just a little bit easier, and that's my final comment on the matter.

Sorry, I had to cut out early, but hey, that sound insulation isn't going to put itself up into the ceiling of my theatre.

And Ari, I totally apologize if I was spreading spit, it was not intentional - I'll work on that for next time.

And to all of you who turned out, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet all of you - I'll be in less of a rush next time around.

:D I wanna come next time, if only to observe. I mostly lurk around, so I can just perpetuate that in real time. I just met Adrian the other day. It was a very fun time. I got to spout off whatever jackass thing was in my head (thank you, beer), build a condo out of cards, and yap with a table full of Sloggers while Jonah live-Slogged it (so meta!). Also, I got a hug from Mr. Poe, and I don't really know what that was about, but it was nice.

a lovely time was had by all! the public intern is cute as a bug's ear! and so tiny! fnarf, i STILL want to have your children. and yes, katelyn, original hernandez is very cute. the highlight of the evening for me was discussing film with the estimate mr. mudede. i nearly plotzed!

and comte, i will buy the first copy of that book about the history of seattle theatre if you write it.

Hahaha...It was an amazing night. I loved meeting everyone. Mr. Poe, just adorable. I probably gushed a little too much at Golob, but I think he is the cutest/smartest thing ever. Greg was soooo nice, I was glad we took over that table. =) I loved meeting Public Intern, such a cutie pie.

Bellevue Ave and his GF are AWESOME, as is Andrew, Katelyn, Comte, Fnarf, elenchos (and his wifey!), Scarey Tyler Moore, etc.

Jonah, Amy Kate, Annie, Ari, Charles...all rad. I loved meeting them.

I can't wait for next month, where hopefully I can be even more of a HUSSY!
(and inpregnate Poe, god willing)

Didn't really talk to too many people, since I showed up late and had to leave early, but to those who I did, nice to meetcha. And since pretty much all of you couldn't stop talking about video games when I brought them up, maybe it's about time we get that Slog Gaming Night thing going, huh, Jonah?

I was there - Original Monique was ultra sexy and I know Charles loved her house, Fnarf and Bellevue Ave (a guy, by the by) were cool, the Public Intern was very outgoing, and there were so many sexy women I'm on overload and babbling in ancient greek ... I especially liked meeting all the Lurkers and the Forum people.

So, we have to wait until January 10th, huh?
