That looks like one of those pizzas that rules for two bites. Then the cheese igneous-identifies and releases itself while you pull, slapping you in the chin, burning your face, dropping on your lap and ruining your entire fucking day.

The red "sauce" on that pizza does not appear to exist in nature. On the other hand, I had me some buffalo mozzarella margherita last nite at Via Tribunali and that definitely applies to your neologism. BONER GET!

I ate at Via Tribunali, and it was...OK. Maybe a 6 out of 10. Tutta Bella's about a 4. I've never had a great pizza slice in Seattle while I was sitting down; the closest was the portable oven that shows up at the Ballard Farmer's Market. Pagliacci works OK for me, but that's really bread, not pizza.

It's been nearly a year since Atlantic Street Pizza closed. My stomach is still in mourning (both for Harry and for the slices).

Harry's idiot relative decided to sell the location and run. Now it's a place that has nothing to do with pizza.

@ 11 You have got to be kidding. It is time to grow up and branch out beyond the pizza place of your youth. Other places exist now so you don't have to suffer for hours waiting for their overcooked (nearly burnt) and paper thin pizza.

Piccolo's on 53rd and Roosevelt makes a great pie, plus a lot of other stuff.

Worst pizza? Easy: Olympia II on 45th. Ninety minutes to deliver a pizza less than one mile, with the owner defending poor service and cold pizza by stating "I don't believe that the customer is always right." I never see anyone in there and yet it's always open.

I go to Oriental Conviencne Stor slash Pizza Slice store on the corner in Broadway Urban Outfit neighbor or the nxt block so.. Punk music plays, workers are usually sullen, and they'll likely go to a different town andsee Shonen Knife, because the crowd on Sat. Night was reported as lame, dancing slicksters without any any any edge.

I like the pizza from the Spaghetti House on Lake City Way, but that might just be a deep-seated lizard-brain emotional association from my childhood. It also makes me thirsty for hours.

Cafe Lago in Montlake has amazing pizza. Also, Hot Mama's anyone? Nothing else seems to counteract the liquid poison served at R-Place quite like that green pizza.

True story many years ago at Olympia on 45th. Was looking for a place to eat in Wallingford with a new person I was dating. Went to it OVER 30 minutes before closing and the place was pretty empty and they were beginning to clean up. They said I could not eat there because there was no way I could get my pizza and eat it in less than 30 minutes before their close. wtf! So really their closing time should be 45 minutes to 1 hour before what they have posted on their sign. I soon broke up with that person and my life has never been the same in the decade that followed. Fuck Olympia Pizza.

I also recommend Piccolo's. In addition to decent pizza, the place has a good vibe. The cheese is my only gripe. Something about it doesn't quite seem right (maybe there's just too much of it).

I would like to nominate 2/$9 Four Cheese Freschetta, purchased on the way home from a hellish day at work and doctored up with some red pepper flakes and basil (tomatoes too if they're in season). Should be accompanied by cheap red wine and ranch dressing.

Northlake, glurgh. Like I said, you can't get good pizza in Seattle. Northlake is part of the reason why. I think it's because there aren't any Italians -- yeah, yeah, you're Italian, but there isn't any Italian DISTRICT, any Italian CULTURE. Same with the Jews. What Seattle needs is an immediate influx of 40,000 Italians and 140,000 Jews. The real obnoxious kind, who know how to make the GOOD food.
