This is awesome. Sleep a total waste of time.
Coming soon to active military personnel near you.
Not OTC yet, I'm assuming. I'll wait.
This would rule so hard. Unless it kills you horribly, of course.

mark my words: this will lead to the establishment of the 20 hour work day.
the end of dreaming is not something that would be good for humanity.
IDK - I do loves me some Provigil. It keeps you nicely alert with just a mildly nagging desire to clean.
And I do like my dreamtime well enough that I don't think I'd like to snort orexin constantly....but as a study aid or let's-party-til-dawn enhancer?! Sign me up!
I hope they put it on the market soon, I can't wait to see people performing like well-rested monkeys.
As someone with narcolepsy, this is amazing. Taking huge quantities of Ritalin isn't something I want to have to do forever, but I have to if I want to function. If they have really found a way to replace the hypocretin/orexin that isn't being produced by my hypothalamus, I will be ecstatic.
Thank you SLOG for posting this. I haven't seen it discussed in any of my sleep disorder groups yet, but you can bet I'll be sharing it!
