I'm going to officially quit smoking (again), and I'm going to start actually doing my job!

We KNOW you swear, Mr. Poe. That's hardly a resolution.

I too plan to reduce my asshole-ish-ness. My friends tell me I'm being silly - they don't even notice it - but I see it when I look in the mirror. I'll (try to) do better next year, honest.

I quit smoking a few months ago, so that one is nailed. Here are mine:

#1 Get in shape for the Spring soccer season
#2 Drop the people that don't give back what I give
#3 Save more for vacation/retirement

The second one is by far the most difficult. It will entail a few tough conversations, hurt feelings and lonely nights on my part, but I have settled -- for far too long -- with some of the people in my life. One guy, in particular, I have been carrying because I see so much good in him but he's just unwilling to drop the negative pursuits he insists on maintaining. I have to push that energy away from me, and I will miss him.

God, this sounds like I, Anonymous LOL

Happy New Year, everyone.

I'm resolving to:
Wash my face every night
Remember that tequila and champagne hurts the next day
Do my own nails
More veggies, less cheese
Continue going to school
Try to articulate my opinions better
Stop racking up giant library fines, paying them off, and repeating the cycle.

Nicotine makes thousands of little tiny things grow inside your brain that silently scream for nicotine every morning.

When you quit the "craving" isn't a moral failure or rehabituation.
It's that your brain is suddenly chemically imbalanced w/ no nicotine, and you are physically "starving" the nico receptors to death, they have to physically waste away, shrivel up and die.

Knowing I did not want/could not fight this physical enslavement finally helped me quit for good.

I resolve to find another bar I like as much as Pony.

I miss that place. *sniff*

Also, I need to hit up the gym more. That one won't be too hard to keep now that the holidays are over.

@9 - actually, I split up with a very GGG gf who was very good at those, max. Sometimes, it's not enough.

Of course, come New Year's Eve, I'm so regretting that, but life's not just great sex ... um, I think ...

And my resolution is to walk to work more and try to avoid stuff that means I'm forced to drive to some meeting after work.

And get rid of more stuff. Bit by bit.

@12: I'm with you, Will, on getting rid of stuff. I can't believe all the crap I've collected over the years.
