If that "adorable little guy" suddenly ran across my kitchen floor I would probably head for the hills.
I just killed 7 of them in the past few days in my kitchen just like it but they had smaller ears. The first one I caught with a glue trap and I felt so bad for it I used veg oil to get it off and we proudly released it out into the wild. When more and more started to appear it was war and my generosity soon disappeared. Stores are starting to run out of traps so get yours now while you still can.
Your house is overrun by gerbils?
Desert rats are cute. Seem to recall have a few ... their teeny hearts beat very quickly.
