Taken WAY out of context, but ok. John Nash is the beautiful mind guy who went schitzo. Renouncing citizenship in Europe is almost ALWAYS a bad idea because you don't necessarily get allowed to stay there. Getting a work permit is easier in Canada than say France ... or Switzerland. I'm not saying the citizens there don't get a sweet deal. Not saying I don't envy them in the slightest! But they have their issues too ... you DON'T get to be a citizen of many of these socialist countries, and you might find with the way they get taxed out the ass, you might not want to .... From what I gather, most of the Rolling Stones, several of the Beattles, a lot of older rich Brits have taken on American Citizenship for that particular reason ...

What really gets my goat about this woman, is that Africa ... well parts of it ... are piss fucking poor with their reputation of treating women. Among several other things, the second to last place I would look for cultural awareness.

But that is just my opinion.

And, I don't know why, but it does seem sort of unsettling that this white, European, well-enough off woman is traveling through all of these war-torn and poverty stricken areas on a fucking tractor! Oh yeah, and taking pictures of herself looking so artsy on the tractor. It seems absurd and at the same time imperialistic. I don't know. That is just the feeling I get.

Funny, I read the book before I saw the movie .... and I wondered about some of that stuff, a lot of his activities were very much pre-brokeback mountain and not entirely national cinema worthy.
