Governors, while they are free of the muddle of being a lawmaker, can always have this kind of thing dug up. You might pardon or commute 1000 sentences of innocent people, but it only takes one Willie Horton.

And people wonder why Alberto Gonzales made sure Dubya never saved anybody from death row. Why risk your political career for scum? It isn't worth it.

So Huckabee looks bad and our nation ends up with that much less justice.

NY Post columnist Steve Dunleavy, who tried to make this a cause célèbre, even went so far as to say no rape had happened. So it's clear that these jackoffs were motivated by a good old "Get Clinton" desire to smear and embarrass the President, and couldn't care less about the menace he posed.
