I loved that episode. Have you seen the PBS documentary on the church? Actually, really interesting.

I'm not even watching it but I have that dumb-dumb-dumb-dumb-DUMB song in my head!

That documentary is here:

South Park has kind of limited range as a satirical show. They can really only successfully convey one message: "This is stupid." That worked reasonably well when they were taking on stuff that was legitimately stupid, like the dot.com craze. I've become less enamored of it since they decided to start attacking stem cell research and global warming.

Is no one else creeped out that Comedy Central flacks are skimming this board for cross-marketing opportunities (apparently successfully)?

Maybe they are skimming the board for story ideas?

Wonder if it has anything to do with the writers' strike? No new content...need a way to make old content clickable...

Psh, even George Bush reads the Stranger. In fact, he already has next weeks copy.

Ha! I had that dum-dum-dum song stuck in my head for hours the other day, and I could not for the life of me figure out what it was, or where it had come from... thanks!

Comedy Central reads the Slog because I'm talented. As are a few others.

It's sad that certain cynical types want to see crass motives everywhere, rather than admit how valuable my work is. Very sad.

I'm pretty sure that all you need to see to learn about the Mormons is this:

This episode came on my hotel teevee a few weeks ago when I was in Salt Lake City. It was the only time I didn't feel like an areligious freak during my visit to SLC. I felt as though the episode was delivered to me by atheist angels. Or, um, something similar.

What I liked about this episode is that it's all true.

Seriously.

Yeah, I know it's shocking to those who actually know little about the Mormon faith, but they really believe that.

So, follow the comedy central link.

Why is a party crasher watching TV? Why is a party crasher not watching TV? Or better yet, why is a party crasher watching TV while not watching TV while staying in Salt Lake City? That has yet to happen, and probably will never happen (for logistical reasons), but for what it's worth, I'm drunk, and I'm probably not making sense at all.

Time to close the laptop and burn in hell. Rock.
