Film Seattle Team Wins All at 48 Hour Film Project

onThe quick-turn filmmaking competition 48 Hour Film Project (sort of like SIFF’s Fly Films, except younger and hungrier and coordinated on a national scale) has anointed its Fall Shootout winner: Seattle’s own Team Juicebox.
Team Juicebox gets to have its winning entry, Lethal Cotillion, screened at Cannes. You can watch the movie here. (Love the “bad guy sisters,” Scot, but I’m afraid that’s not a monkey. Steve is an ape.) Congratulations anyway to director Cory Kelley and writer Scot Augustson.

Annie, this is no time to get on your simian high horse.
Congratulations Scot! And Cory Keller!
Hey Annie,
I'm well aware that Bernice (the actress playing Steve) is indeed a Chimp (Pan troglodytes). We had a long talk about cross-species casting (always a controversial topic) and decided to risk it.
(Bernice incidentally was last seen on Seattle Stages in "Plants and Animals" and before that in "Gone Are The Days" at Conworks.)
Scot
